hawk fb program headed to the bottom

Why are so many "supposed" Cyclones defending the Hawkeyes? That makes no sense. They are obviously "posers" who are Hawkeye fans.

If you don't bash the Hawks at every chance you get, then yer not a true Cyclone fan.

:jimlad:

Seriously, do you also take offense to Chris Williams talking about the hawks on his radio show?

I'm already a bad fan because I left the State of Iowa and don't have season tickets (even though I have season tickets). Can't wait to hear what Stormin thinks when he finds out my Grandpa received his PhD from the University of Iowa.

My son graduated from the University of Iowa. You can support the University of Iowa and not cheer for their athletic teams. But don't defend them if you are a Cyclone. If you cheer for them, you are a Hawkeye fan.

Why go out of your way to defend the Hawkeyes? We beat them and they make excuses.

Interesting that so many supposed "Cyclone" fans take the opportunity to bash the Cyclones and then defend the Hawkeyes.

I probably come across that way sometimes because I think ISU fans need to focus on their own school in some situations. This thread, in particular, is completely uncalled for given our own football program's struggles the past year. The way I see it, Cyclones should focus on the Cyclones. Let the Hawkeyes do their thing. I tell Aggies the same thing... focus on what's going on in College Station, not Austin.

HokLonghorn Troll.

Fine. But WHY defend the Hawkeyes like you do and then continually bash the Cyclones?

You continually put down Cyclone fans for being optimistic about the coming football season. Why?

Because I'm directly invested in Iowa State University, not the University of Iowa. I'm not defending U of I, I'm telling our people to direct their attention on our school, not the one down the road.

I'm not sure you understand the distinction between defending something and being a level-headed thinker about something.

Haverhill is not a cyclone fan. I am guessing he is a kstate fan that also cheers for a & m.

I am probably the least concerned about iowa as anyone in this thread. That's what is so funny.

The people concerned about iowa are the ones telling you not to notice that the iowa program is in the dumps and they will also tell you not to talk trash after beating iowa over and over. It bothers them. They are concerned about it.

The last thing they want isu fans to realize like I do is that isu is big brother in this state. You can see it in every post they make.

It's called fear. Haverhill also fears isu gaining ground. It doesnt benefit ksu.

I'll respond once I stop laughing at you.

Iowa State doesn't have ground to gain on KSU because ISU is a better school from top to bottom. Some football wins would be nice tho. Need a copy of my ISU diploma?...or photos of me wearing ISU gear in Bill Snyder Family Stadium or at Bramlage Coliseum? I have both.

I'm not surprised that you find it interesting that there are so many rational people in the world. You must be feeling a little insecure right now.

This mindset is why people hate our fanbase. I absolutely cringe when our fanbase takes on the Marine mindset: "The Few, The Proud." Its a flipping State University of 35k students... not Simpson College.

Ding ding ding.... another clear sign Haverhill isn't a clone fan. Very few fan bases dislike isu fans.

WE AREN'T ARROGANT LIKE OTHER FAN BASES..

We do like to claim the games we actually win though. Too funny.

Keep sipping the koolaid, brother. I love my Clones, but I also realize ISU is far from perfect. Hope that realization doesn't hurt you when you reach it.

WHY the continued efforts to dampen enthusiasm for Iowa State Football?

Rational or not, people constantly being negative towards Iowa State Football does not help us. And you really have no idea as to whether we will be decent or not this coming season. How many people predicted TCU to have the season they had last year?

Why would a true Cyclone fan constantly be negative, UNLESS they want to dampen enthusiasm and discourage Cyclone fans and hope to lower attendance to football games.
