hawk fb program headed to the bottom

Dude, you might be an idiot. AIB straight-up gave itself to iowa. We wouldn't have turned that down if they offered it to us. You are clearly a dummy. Anyways, you are still the reason I have to have conversations with hawk friends about whether my team is the little brother to theirs.

You are right. That's why it is so perplexing that it upsets you and other hawk fans.

It bothers the u of I so much they tried to pick up AIB even though those students don't qualify for entrance to isu or any other regent university.

I don't know why it upsets them so much that isu is big brother in this state. I don't know why it upsets them that iowa kids overwhelmingly choose isu.

Cmon guys.. it's really no big deal. :)

And you must not have heard the u of I ran into some snags with that plan. Dang it!

Just for clarification is it u of aib now? Just want to make sure I get it right like the other junior colleges.

Don't worry...lowering your academic standards to increase enrollment makes perfect sense for the u of aib.

It's just not something big brother isu needs to do.

Outstanding summary of the situation! It really is that simple, everything else is an effort at distraction from the baseline truth...that ISU is the better program IN SPITE of a having a really crappy year last season.

ISU beat iowa.

The big twelve beat the big ten head to head. Iowa didn't play many of the good teams in the big ten.
The local jh had a better record than iowa.
There are many posters on this board posing as cyclone fans.

Sums up the answer to this 14 page, tedious, question. Its not about a 2-10 team's fans talking trash, or about ISU fans needing to keep quiet because we sucked last year....its about putting out the truth regarding the better program in this state, and exposing the long list of phony cyclone pseudo-names on the board who are actually Hawk fans (or in some cases UNI fans).

Oh, you're worse than I thought. You really are the reason we get called little brother. AIB has >$20 million in assets that they're straight-up allowing iowa to manage, and you're making fun of it. You clearly don't work in business. Also, it seems that for their students to be called Iowa students, they'll still have to meet the criteria that any other student would have to meet. I went to undergrad in Ames and grad-school in Iowa City, and can tell you that your logic is idiotic. Iowa's standards are higher than ours for admission, bud. Hate to break that to you.

Lol and there it is. Hawk fan.

Pulling out all the oldies but goodies. Doesn't even know that all the regent schools have the same entrance requirements.

It was comical when the u of aib recently got called out by the uni president for misrepresenting their entrance numbers.

Yeah... the u of i. Lol what's funny is you don't even realize how bad you are making them look right now.

Can't get in to isu. Go to the u of aib. They need more students. Little brother complex you know.

US News & World Report Rankings of Top Public Universities:

Iowa State #50
Iowa #27

Yet another brilliantly uninformed post. You're on a roll Squiggy.

Honestly, Twilight. Just let it go...you are an Iowa fan. No need to feel shame in that...well, there is but you'll live...but its no good denying it at this point. C'mon, 13 posts in your history and primarily defending all things Iowa. Cyclone fans certainly can have a range of views and are rational enough to defend Hawkeye claims when they are rational claims...but you are just behaving as an Iowa fanboy. You're really not fooling anyone. Not even those who agree with you.

I've felt no need to hate the University of Iowa itself since Marvin Pomerantz retired. Since then, the allocation of funding and resources has been pretty fair to Iowa State, if not favoring Iowa State. Iowa wouldn't have made the AIB move if they were still receiving preferential treatment funding-wise. All that being said, Pomerantz was on a full blown mission to make ISU the University of Iowa - Ames. I think that is the main reason some still hate every facet of life which takes place on that campus. That being said, I don't really see a reason hate the university anymore, but sports is a different story. At the end of the day, I beat out Iowa and KU masters students for the same jobs with a Bachelors. That is the mission of a land grant school... provide a good quality education to as many students as possible. Lets not be ashamed of that mission because Iowa State is seeing great success with that mission. That should be the dialogue on this thread.

This thread somehow turned out even worse than I expected it to. That's something to be proud of I guess.

It really should be deleted IDK why the mods allow this stupidity.

EIU gets to play in a very very good bowl game almost every season no matter how bad they are their schedule is that ****** and easy and if they ever get their act together no other P5 team will have as easy a chance of running the table as them. ISU is their 4th or 5th toughest game each year their schedule is that ******* easy.

I would say lay off the attempts at being funny and just stick to blowing sunshine up everyone's skirt for the next 5 months.

You say a lot of things, none of which contain wit, wisdom, or sound advice. Perhaps you should ponder the significance of that in your life. Just trying to help so you can avoid these embarrassing little moments.

...is there a chance at shifting the conversation to Toledo?

I think if the discussion's going to be about teams that ISU beat last season, they deserve at least a mention and some strong debate.
