It's Iowa's Super Bowl in basketball (obviously) and it is in football now too. Playing the ISU fight song on repeat all week and playing Scherff the week he had surgery just goes to prove it. Like I said, there's a reason Iowa is little bro

It's not like they brought him back and then had to sit him for several weeks cause they rushed him back. He did alright for himself. I think he even won an award or something like that.
And let me get this right.. according to ISU fans the Super Bowl concept was dumb. Until you think that you have specific time frames that allow you to claim it, so now it's valid? You've been hanging around D Up too long.

Scherff seems like a team player and I would bet he would have rather had his team with their Super Bowl than him win an individual award.

He did fine when he came back. He did so fine, that he won an award. You're trying too hard.
He did great, terrific player. Like I said I'm sure he would rather trade in those individual awards for a Super Bowl victory over Iowa State. I don't know him personally but he seems like a team player
By all accounts, he is a team player. I imagine if you asked him "Would you trade your individual accolades for a Super Bowl victory over Iowa State?" he would scoff at you. Certainly due to the wording of the question.
I think you're wrong, he knows the importance of the game. Plus he seems to really like Ferentz and knows his job will be safe as long as he beats ISU

You are really overstating your school's level of importance in the eyes of the Iowa fanbase. Our standards, whether you will agree with them or not, are much higher than what I would assume yours are for ISU. Simply being bowl eligible isn't sufficient. And, for that matter, merely beating ISU definitely isn't sufficient.
It's nice to beat ISU. But it is by no means more important in my eyes than Ohio State, Michigan, Minnesota, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin. I'd say I enjoy beating ISU more than I enjoy beating Illinois, Indiana and Purdue. Although beating those 3 is still more important than beating ISU.
You are pounding your chest a bit much for a 2-10 football team. In-state rival or not, you are a 2-10 football team and that severely takes away from the importance the game has. If your record were reversed, or even close to reversed, you would be every bit a part of that first list of teams.

That's why you're little bro...I'd rather beat any Big 12 team over Iowa and it's more fun to win those Big 12 games.
I'm not saying ISU is good, I'm just saying it's obviously the biggest game of the year for the players and coaching staff which is why they play the ISU fight song on repeat all week and Ferentz knows he can go 1-11 and his job will be safe as long as he beats ISU. I'd rather get rid of it to be honest with you, it's a lose/lose situation for ISU. If we win it's not that important because then Iowa fans want their coach fired (which is bad because we want Kirk there forever) and if we lose we just lost to a mediocre team from a poor conference

That would be to assume that you aren't just intending to troll, though. The highlighted made it overly clear that you are attempting to do so. You've faired quite well against a bowl eligible team over the past decade and some. It's quite hard to say with a straight face that it is simply a lose/lose situation. Much like D Up, you end up trying too hard and it shows your true intent.
Although I hoped you'd take it as a compliment that it's more fun to beat ISU than it is Illinois, Indiana and Purdue. The simple fact is that I don't know anyone from these fanbases, so it is much like beating a faceless opponent. They are also perennial bottom dwellers, so beating them has little effect except adding a W to the plus column. While ISU is another perennial bottom dweller, I know quite a few people and have relatives from the fan base so it makes for good banter.

Iowa wins 8 games and gets dominated in a bowl game in 2013 but beats ISU, everybody loves KF and talks about his January Bowl Games.
Iowa wins 7 games and gets dominated in a bowl game in 2014 and loses to ISU, everybody wants him fired.
I can think of multiple times fans called for KF's head, never has it happened after a season they beat ISU. Iowa fans use that game as a barometer for how successful their season was
