Poor coaching, example 563 of clock mismanagement during the KF era, poor execution by the team. ISU did less of these things than Iowa did, and therefore won.

Yeah I think that why isu lost all those games too. ISU was the better team but just coaching errors.
Iowa needs to solve it's lack of speed issue before they will ever beat isu more than half the time.
ISU plays in a tougher league against teams with more speed. This shows when the big twelve steps out of conference against the big ten.
And that's why beating the bottom teams in the big ten doesn't impress anyone.

Zero trips to the Final Four in more than 70 years, zero conference championships in 14 years. This is why I always hated this message board. You can't say we're a basketball school because we're dominant at basketball. If anything, it's because our football program is such a disaster.

And if basketball sucess drops and football success increases, you'll instantly become a football school right?
Just like if Coach K retires from Duke and they fall. If Duke football hits the top 25 that year, they'll instantly be a football school.
