Harbaugh already beating Iowa

I was and am excited about the Harbaugh hire. Hoping for a miraculous turn of short-term success for Iowa under KF is about as braindead as a person can get. Not going to happen. I'm resigned to acknowledge that we are going to suck as long as he remains our coach and GB remains our AD. Losing a decent RB recruit to Michigan means nothing to me, if it serves as another small chip in the KF/GB armor. If Harbaugh can bring UM back to being an elite program, that only benefits the conference. In the meantime, I can hope that our new president will bring different expectations with regard to the football program than SM has, and will be influenced to mirror the steps other B1G schools are willing to take to elevate their programs.

Gonzo, Prime Minister of the "Let it Burn" wing of the Hawkeye fanbase? That's some Steve Deace logic right there.

Iowa seems to be stuck in mediocrity. ISU has hit rock bottom, but sometimes it's almost easier to pick yourself up from that for whatever reason. Recruits know they can play right away against Power 5 competition.

I would agree completely.

Sounds like Graham had offers from Vandy and Stanford at one time but they got pulled due to grade concerns. Seems odd those schools would offer a kid where grades may be an issue, but it was in a local newspaper article.

Kind of a weird situation, but in any case I'm happy the Hawks at least had a fallback option. They really needed a RB in this class. For being a last minute offer he seems to have potential. Pretty solid highlight reel and he's listed at a 4.4 40. Obviously at this point you have to take those times with a grain of salt, but he definitely outruns his competition on the field in the highlight vid.

Seems like we've been trying the rock bottom approach for the majority of this program's history, still waiting for the pick up to happen.

Holy Crap....Clone fans talking smack about football recruiting.

Comedy Central

:twitcy:

No one comments on the Higdon kid holding his baby in the twitter pic? They are probably better off with the no offers babyless running back. Just saying.

I could find a lot of examples where that isn't the case. Just look up any of Stormin or Mesa's posts. There's thousands of them.

2 posters compared to every Iowa poster, minus Gonzo and antiAIRBHG.

I mean you still have posters coming here thinking Iowa has the better basketball program. Iowa88 for example.

Remember when a creighton fan radio host was giddy about the hoiberg hire? Masking fear

Masking fear and trying to elevate themselves by associating themselves in a convoluted way - through the Big 10 - with Michigan.

Difference is we know we suck.

Iowa State Fans = most realistic fanbase - we know we suck
Iowa Fans = most delusional fanbase - we are great program, in spite of our continued mediocrity
Nebraska Fans = most arrogant fanbase - we are far superior to all other programs, just look at the mid 90s
Kansas Fans = most pretentious fanbase - we will not dignify your program by acknowledging it exists
