Harbaugh already beating Iowa

I'd say that opinion is shared by about 2% of the fan base......and's that's being generous

Most think we're in a dire need for more talent and need classes rated better than the mid-fifties.........by contrast, many cyclone fans over on the football board are touting your mid sixty class as the best ever for rhoads and the recent defections as a "much needed" cleaning of the football house.

Exactly.

These guys act like the Cyclone fan base is different. Chris hasn't predicted crazy records like Jon Miller has but he still does he share of sunshine pumping. These past couple years predicting 5-7 wins for ISU was just as far off as predicting 10 wins for Iowa. Which means it's just as unreasonable. There was a ton of Cyclone fans on here who thought 5-6 wins were possible these past couple seasons. I saw very very few predict 2-3 wins.

Fast forward to now and you have people acting like another bottom level B12 recruiting class may be good enough to change the downward momentum. Iowa's recruiting isn't any better. You'll never hear me say that it is. However, at least Ferentz has proven in the past that he's capable of developing. Rhoads has not shown that. I honestly think if Ferentz stuck to simply developing players and sort leading from afar the Hawks would be way better off. He needs to get out of his own way in regards to his conservative philosophy. With his player development and someone else's game plan the Hawks would be fine. I'm not sure anything is really working with CPR besides being an above average hype man or salesman.

Look at the bright side, if Rhoads has a bad year this year we can actually fire him.

Not really. They play each other like, what? Twice every thirteen years now?

Very good, and sad, point. I miss seeing Michigan and Ohio State beat up on the Hawkeyes every year. They got off so incredibly easy with their division, and yet they'll still struggle.
