I just watched.

I will never forget watching that beer bottle fly end over end, it was like watching in slow motion. I also had a house right on Welch so later on in the night when they shut the street lights off and the 50's were walking arm in arm in full riot gear is another sight I thought I would see in Ames, friggin, Iowa

Me too. Did you have to meet and become blood/spit brothers or anything like that? Or was it more go find someone against GMac and beat them with a tire iron? Did you send a wanna be member on an "insider" scavanger hunt to prove he was worthy of the group that held all the secrets?

There is nothing wrong with the social group. Mostly a bunch of good guys with ISU as their number 1.

Exactly. CIMD seems to be pretty mature for a 16 year old, and I've never thought anything bad of him.

That said, it just strikes me as very odd that someone would be sharing sensitive, inside information about ISU basketball with a teenager. Obviously, he seems to have handled it pretty well as far as I can tell, but can you really imagine someone saying "Yeah, Let's tell all our program secrets to this teenage kid!" It seems to me like if there is program information that is supposed to be kept secret from the public at large, it would be wise to try and defend it from networking (or social engineering) when possible. In other words, if a 16 year old kid (however mature or talented) can get in on this kind of info, it seems like just about anyone could.

Also, I don't understand why so many people on this board think they have the absolute right to know everything about everything that happens in the basketball program. If this was supposed to be a private exchange between friends (I have no idea if it was) then I could understand why someone would be upset that it's getting out to the public at large. Sometimes, yeah you need whistle blowers. Other times, there's no point in creating this kind of mess.

I'll agree with this. Like I said, I have no idea what the conversation was like, so I won't comment on who is wrong. If there is permission by all parties to share, then go right ahead, but if not, they should be afforded the right to keep things between themselves. I have no business or interest in hearing EVERY little private thing about our program.

That being said, you're alright, CIMD. You handled yourself well given all the crap that was hurled your way. Much better than I would have at 16.
