I think Ejim will be pretty quick to be up there.

But back on track, I'd also see no issue with Cooke wearing #3.

Even though Ejim's jersey should be retired at some point, it would be nice if there was still some recognition of Brian Pearson's #3. At one time (after he died very young of brain cancer) there was a movement among the players to have an Iowa native wear his #3 - similar to wearing #40 for Street, but for one of our own who died way too young.

As much as I love Ejim and think he deserves to have his number retired, I don't believe it is so much so warranting a quick retirement. I'm for giving it 5-10 years where some greater perspective can be seen and then consider him for retirement.
