GRAYER RETURNING TO MICHIGAN

Otzelberger is the guy...This is his show, whether fans want to believe it or not.

Funny you weren't posting when we were bringing in guys like Royce White and Chris Allen. As soon as something mildly negative happens, though, poof, here you are. You're like a whizard.

Bdag Bob has to surface for air once in awhile.

I too found this interesting. I bet if we tracked his activity based on wins/losses this season we would notice the same trend.

Be careful with that CW...Some people don't like that.

Speaking of truth, was ti the truth that this program was in good shape at the end of last year? No, it wasn't. I can't decide whether it was an ou and out lie, or if you actually believed that.

The GMac stink will be with us for months.....like that dead mouse behind the wall nobody can find.

Fred can't afford to not have qualified assistants. If Jeff wasn't "qualified" then Fred really had no choice. He's working for ISU and the fans.

I'm really disappointed to see him go. He was at the Fan Fest Sunday and we had a chance to talk to him briefly and my daughter and I had our picture taken with him. Very personable and easy to talk to. Really a great guy. Most people did even know who he was or possibly even care unfortunately.

I doubt there are any bad feelings however, or he probably wouldn't have been there. I hope they can bring him back at some point when he gets some experience. I saw the guy play for three of his years and he was just a flat out stud. He may not be the best player to strap on a Cyclone uni for any particular season or two, but he had the best career and gave his all for the school.

Best of luck Jeff Grayer.

No, no. This Mr. Wizard.

As Fred said at his opening presser, Grayer has been our best player period. Making the the Olympic team says it all.
Hoiberg was so full of praise for Grayer at that presser, maintaining that it was a must to kepp him on staff. This confuses me.

This is too bad for Jeff, but Fred is proving his leadership ability by surrounding himself with the best assistants possible.

It would have been easy to settle for the sentimental choice, but that may not have been the best choice for success.

I wish Jeff nothing but the best.

I'm sure this wasn't easy for Freddy either. Remember, he grew up around the ISU program and I'm sure he has known for years what Jeff meant to the program.

Note that despite this, Freddy is doing exactly what Chizik was unwilling or unable to do until he learned it the hard way. He is surrounding himself with what he needs rather than the sentimental choice just as mt85 stated above.

The bottom line is, with Fred being inexperienced, he needs all of his assistants to have solid cred, and Grayer's experience is less than impressive.
