Gary Barta everybody

Did he while he was our AD? I remember him doing it after.
Yes, he would post on threads criticizing him as AD pretending to be a Joe Schmo fan and trying to hoist himself up. Before I even had an account on here, I read one of his posts that attempted to show his accomplishments as AD. One of them was putting a lighted "Iowa State University" sign on the east side upper concourse of Jack Trice. I'm not joking, see if you can find it on the archives.

I think he and Barta must hail from the same family tree.

I wish I could remember his username. Maybe @ChrisMWilliams remembers?

He posted here after he was gone.

It would not have been possible for him to post here while he was still here. Cyclonefanatic originally started in 2006. Pollard was hired in 2005

I guess that would make sense. I started reading on here in 2008.

I couldn't find his old threads when I was thumbing through all the old stuff but I did see a lot of users who used to post on here but are now gone. Also saw threads about people dreaming of a South Endzone at the beginning of Pollard's tenure. Not only do we now have the South Endzone but now we are talking a whole new entertainment district dedicated to Iowa State. What a time to be a Cyclone!

Ok, I just did a Google search of Bruce to see what he is up to these days. Is it just me or do you all think he wrote this on his own Wikipedia page?

During Van De Velde's tenure, LA Tech received an invitation to join Conference USA and left the Western Athletic Conference in July 2013.[3] In 2012, the Louisiana Tech football program received its highest national ranking in school history [4] and was ranked in the BCS for the first time. He was responsible for a compliance program that achieved no major NCAA rules infractions from 2008 to the present.[5] In addition, the student-athlete graduate success rate of 72 percent in 2012 was the highest in the history of the university and one of the top graduation rates in the nation.[6] All 16 sports programs were APR penalty free and eight programs achieved their highest APR in school history.[7]

Teams he was associated with participated in the Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Peach Bowl, Aloha Bowl, Independence Bowl, Insight.com Bowl, Copper Bowl, Poinsettia Bowl, and Humanitarian Bowl.

I can only hope that a media member simply asks Barta if the athletic department's investigation into the incident in Ames has completed during his next press conference/media availability.

Would be even better if it was asked week of the CyHawk basketball game.

"Findings were never announced so I can only presume your investigation is still ongoing given the severity of the incident calling for a press release."
