8% of the volume of the can is ethanol. So for a 24 ounce can, there is 1.94 ounces of ethanol in it.

For a 12 ounce Busch Light (4.1%), the amount of ethanol is 0.49 ounces of ethanol.

For a 1 ounce shot of Jack (40%), there are 0.4 ounces of ethanol.

In other words, you would need to drink 3.94 Busch Lights to equal that one can of Steel Reserve.

No. That's not how percentages work.

There is 8% alcohol in that beverage. So in 24 oz, there is roughly 2 oz of pure alcohol in it.

If you took all that pure alcohol and condensed it down into a 12 oz can, it'd be a 16% can. Or If you split it into two 12 oz cans, it'd be back to 8%

I had never had a Steel before. I thought it was very good. And I have tried quite a few different beers, but not that many really considering how many different brands are out there! Only scratching the surface.

I just looked them up. They are owned by Origlio Beverage, who I found out owns 68-69 brewries, count 'em! Wow. Never heard of them before.

For Fathers Day my daughter gave me a BEER DROP membership. They have access to thousands of craft beers. Each month, if I choose, I can pick 5 different beers off their list, and it is delivered to my door. As a beer lover, it is kind of fun. I may not continue once the gift $ are consumed, as it is kind of expensive - but fun.

I am on an Alcohol reduction plan, past month, trying to limit myself to 2 drinks less than or equal to 5x/wk, so far drinking less than that. for my health.

Tonight I ran into:
"Steel Reserve" (High Gravity), 8.1 alc., 24 oz can, The Steel Brewing Co, Milwaukee, WI, Very nice! Highly recommended. From wal-mart, spfld, mo. One of my recent favorites!
