Game day changes 2009-2010

Here's an idea that is WAAAY out there but I think it would be really cool. And I think someone does a variation of it. Bash me if you like but if there was some sort of a tunnel system that would allow the team to be "hidden" while they walked to an "opening" that would allow the team to walk down the aisles of the student section amongst the craziest of crazies, I just think the entire Jack would be "up" the rest of the game... I'm guessing this wasn't in the facilities master plan. :)

They would lose NCAA money if they did that. Plus they would have to deal with drunk college kids the whole game, underage drinking, and other drunk fans. Heck you need a break anyway.
Once I stop drinking and start getting tired, it's hard for me to get back going again. I would like to at least sip on a couple beers during the game to keep my buzz going.

Keep everything except Jeff Johnson. Give a cheerleader the friggin mic.

I love how Chiz tell Bates and Banks to settle down while they're getting pumped up just before they run on the field.

If you want the cheer squad to do the pre-game thing, you better hope you've got a guy on that squad with some decent presence and voice, because I don't think giving a mic to any of the girls on that squad with their Minnie Mouse cheering voices is going to give you that much better of an effect.

Ok, let the guy get the CYCLONE POWER cheer going, then he can find his seat. That's the only one that really gets the fans (at least me) going, after that I'm just waiting for the players to come out.

Oh I totally agree with that. I actually never understood why they felt the need to press their luck after they had found a good cheer the crowd had obviously latched onto. Seems to be an issue with ISU gamedays in general really.

I want to see the tunnel and smoke return, but do NOT put the damn thing right behind the goal post... *slaps head*

CYCLONE POWER chant all the way until the ball is kicked.. that would be tight

Excactly what I was going to say. I hate it how hey/they move on from cheer to cheer, especially when we get on one that gets people fired up. It would be cool to do one right up til the very second the players come out.

This sounds great to me.

1. Lose jeff johnson
2. Keep sweet caroline
3. Never ever do the stupid high school walk down the ramp

amen

1. No reason to make a great Cyclone supporter look like an idiot, no reason to make our pre-game look even more Bush-league.

2. Great tradition - and the naysayers can take a bathroom break while 90+% of the stadium sings along.

3. clomp, clomp, clomp... hopefully we don't resemble clydesdales.

The dome really makes that entrance great.. just hearing the announcer's voice echoing along with the panther growl sounds great in there.

I hope you're kidding. I just thank God that I never have to see that in person.
