Game day changes 2009-2010

What no re-entry???

Someone said there would be no re-entry once the east side was done. The only reason there is re-entry now is there was never enough bathroom space for everyone.

If this ends up being true I think it will be a positive change to the atmosphere. Especially for the start of the 3rd quarter.

Here's an idea that is WAAAY out there but I think it would be really cool. And I think someone does a variation of it. Bash me if you like but if there was some sort of a tunnel system that would allow the team to be "hidden" while they walked to an "opening" that would allow the team to walk down the aisles of the student section amongst the craziest of crazies, I just think the entire Jack would be "up" the rest of the game... I'm guessing this wasn't in the facilities master plan. :)

hmmmm... very interesting... it would never happen though. something to that effect would be sickkkkkk i think

Get the aerospace people to build a giant cyclone generator and have the team drop out of the sky as the tornado goes down the field.

I for one would like Jeff Johnson to go away. He's free to sit in his seat, just not at mid field with a microphone.
I appreciate his energy, but the content and delivery need to change. He can come out and welcome the fans, then get CYCLONE - POWER going and get the hell off the field.

No need for 4 or 5 different cheers at 15 seconds apiece. That just confuses us and makes the crowd lose interest. Get the crowd going on the Cyclone Power cheer and let us carry it until the team comes out. Simple enough.

I kind of miss the helmet. Have you ever seen an aerial photo of Jack Trice? It looks like something...dirty... Add the tunnel, helmet, and smoke, and it looks...dirtier...

It always cracked me up.

Has anyone in this thread gone to a game the past two years? The inflatable helmet was dumped at the beginning of Chizik's tenure.

Several years actually and you may be right about the missing helmet, however, my point being, I think the catepillar passing gas as the players try to find the goal post without hitting, it is not the best idea. Thanks for clarifying though! Perhaps move it to the side so the guys can come flying out without worrying about the goalpost taking them out for the season.

I liked this last year... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V1-15uwt-I"]YouTube - 2008 Iowa State football entrance video[/ame]

They should just walk from the Jacobsen Building like they used to. the inflatable helmet is stupid.

This would work.

Otherwise, I agree with cybsball's post all the way.

If Jeff is going to be there, do the one simple, loud cheer, and move on to welcoming the team to the field. Really, though, the cheerleaders could handle this one.

I think they should do without the tunnel and smoke, but still have them walk through the JB like the past 2 years. And then have them gather between the bleachers, where the band sits, and wait to take the field. As they are walking through the building and waiting, the entire crowd does the CYCLONE POWER chant throughout.
