Gambling Apps For Dummies

There wouldn’t be any in your situation. Unless you hit a $10 15 team parlay - or something along those lines. If you just bet $10 on a straight bet… You’re good.

Well this isn't true. While most small gamblers do not report it, it technically is supposed to be self reported. The website won't report to the IRS unless you meet a certain threshold. So yes, you'll probably be good to get away with it, but you should know that isn't the law.

So I finally have some money set aside that I'd like to join the wide world of sports betting.

On here, on KXNO, and anywhere else basically, you get bombarded with 1000 different apps, all with their ridiculously dumb promos.

My question is, what is everyone's experience with these apps, likes, dislikes, etc. Is it easy to take advantage of these free money opportunities, or is it hard to use that initial free cash in a way you can actually withdraw it later.

Is it better to stick with a couple that you like? Or should you download like 5 or 6 due to their sign-on bonuses and let that money ride? I'm too lazy to read through the T&C's of these promos to find out if they are advantageous or not.

I don't need gambling advice I get all that, just purely wondering if it's better to sign up with one good one, or take advantage of these hokey sign-on promotions.

I've got the weekend's 5 hottest picks for sell at a low, low introductory price.

I've settled into DK after dabbling on a few other sites. It makes sense to spread your money around a little bit to benefit from the different promos, but I'm partial to DK and only bet there now.

I very rarely bet more than 10 on a particular game/promo. My experience has been that while you may go up or down a little bit you usually hover around the same amount. I think the most important thing to do is have a figure in your head where you withdraw a portion once you hit it.

I've been using PayPal as an intermediary for my bank and these sites. Makes it easier if you are using multiple apps to move money from one to the other without going through a bank that takes time.
It doesn’t matter how I try, I can’t deposit to DK at all. I think I know the problem and it’ll just require getting a hold of customer service and have them fixing something, but I use the other apps enough that I don’t worry about it

Mark me down as a DraftKings guy. I also have BetRivers but almost never use it because the promos aren't as good.

I use FanDuel quite a bit. Their scoreboard tracking is cleaner than DraftKings. Deals aren't quite as good, but not bad.

The introductory promos are worth doing. Even if they're giving you $100 worth of free bets, you can easily turn that into $45 by playing both sides of a spread or over/under.

I have rotated betting apps to take advantage of the sign on bonuses. So I now have multiple apps. Most of the sign on bonuses will pay you in the form of a betting credit that can't be withdrawn until it is re-bet again. The way I look at it is, I am going to bet anyway so I'd rather have the credit than not have it.

Not all sign on promos are credits though. For instance, I just signed up for fan duel last weekend because they had a promo for first time betters that if you bet $5 on the buccs/patriots game and either team scored a TD you won $125. The payout from this bet was in the form of straight cash that can be withdrawn.

My opinion, download new apps whenever they are offering a sign on promo that is good enough to take advantage of but be wary that most of them will be in the form of betting credits and not withdrawable cash.

Also from my experience, Draftkings usually has better odds with higher payouts but Fan Duel usually has better promos.

Thanks. This is what I was looking for. I assumed most would be credits for future bets, but if you can withdraw right after replacing the money (if you win) then I'll just download em all and let it ride.

Now that you don't have to physically go to the Casino/Sportsbook, the introductory promos are not quite as good. Draftkings typically has better odds and lines, but their big push for NFT's is annoying and I'm starting to branch out more (Caesar's, Fanduel).

I'm on the "use multiple apps" boat. I don't usually bet big but I always check out every app for promos and odds boosts. A lot of times you can bet both sides if you'd like to guarantee a win or at least a chance to win or break even regardless of the outcome.

DK is probably my favorite but like others have said, Caesars has stepped it up lately and has a lot of super boosts.

Chris has said multiple times on radio and I agree. Download all apps you can and take advantage of all the promos. There are no catches honestly. You get free bets and if won you can cash it out if wanted.

Fan duel is doing a “move the line” bet for Iowa game this weekend. It’s a free $25 basically. Every 1k people that bet on game the line moves a point. Last I checked Iowa was a 116 point underdog lol

Also… Caesar’s sports app gives you a risk free $5000 bet when you sign up

fan duel is a risk free $1000 bet when you sign up

keep that in mind

BetRivers, BetMGM, Pointsbet are all trash. If you have any sort of success they‘ll limit your account quick. DK and Ceasers are awesome and FanDuel is solid.

If anyone is ever gets bored and is looking for good tipsters to follow Bet the Prop is legit.

Agree with using multiple sites to take advantage of more bonuses and shop around for the best lines. Finding something at -105 instead of -110 or getting another half point doesn't seem like much, but it's half the battle.

It's very hard to make any significant money beating the books, but if you set aside money you can afford to lose and won't miss, stick to risking 1-3% of that bankroll per bet (unless it's a no brainer like that Iowa +100 offer), and adjust your bet size as you win or lose it should at least take a while to bust on your deposit.

It’s pretty easy if you follow a good tipster
