Friday OT #2 - Islands In the Stream

I go to Youtube, rip the audio, songs are automatically added to iTunes and I just use that. Then I also transfer the songs to my phone to use in my car. Pretty sure I have 15 year old mp3 files.

We’ve got a two person Spotify account. One for me, one for the Echos scattered around the house. I didn’t like my Spotify feed being gobbled up by baby shark and fart noises, so I got my own. The wife primarily uses the radio and YouTube.

I use Apple Podcasts the most though.

Elmo's "Brushy Brush" song might be one of my most played tracks next year in Unwrapped. My kid wants it while he brushes his teeth every night.

Did anyone use Rdio before they died? I only moved to Spotify when I had no choice. Rdio was album based and it's suggestions were awesome. I really miss that service.

I have a massive CD collection and only added more via Napster, so I've got hours source material. I mostly listed to music off my SD card in the car if I'm not listening to Sirus. Sirus is almost as bad as the radio any more. Each station has ~40 songs that it plays on repeat, followed by a commercial telling you they don't have commercials.

My boys will not stop playing The Toilet Bowl Cleaners no matter how many times you tell them to stop. Every single song is about poop and pee. It’s outrageous.

I just checked the unwrapped from their account and it includes the bangin’ hits like Afro Circus (just awful), What Does the Fox Say, The Fart Song by Fart Man, Who Let the Dogs Out, Ice Ice Baby and Fart Sounds - Over 1000 farts by Fart Fest.

I'm weird and didn't like Spotify's UI much. So I went with Rhapsody, which changed its name to Napster a while back, though it has no real connection to classic Napster.
I guess I just need to be different.
