Fred > Fran

Oh I agree he's playing at a very high level. But it seems like every game he's winding up with bloody nose, missing tooth, etc. He's playing a ton of minutes and taking a beating down in the post. I just don't know if someone's body can hold up to that 30+ games.

We dont have anymore bodies to run out there so hopefully he can.

He always looks gassed after about the first 10 minutes of the game.

But the game in Philly against PSU was bad. It sounded like it was 80 plus degrees in there and players kept slipping because there was so much sweat on the floor.

I am hoping the short turnaround after that game was the reason for the poor shooting last night.

Both Iowa and PSU lost last night 10/59 from 3 point range. They both had 2 days off since their game in The Palestra.

Wieskamp said he has never sweated more playing bball than that game. It was brutal conditions for that high pace of a game.

Fran's sideline behavior turns off a lot of people including a lot of Iowa fans so that isnt breaking news.

Connor and Toussaint started yapping last night because the PG from Nebraska would not shut up. Shooting arrows into the crowd after made 3's and being a complete bonehead whenever he made a basket.

Thing is...Connor is involved in this kind of behavior in almost every game. That is a character leaned at home and by the head coach (father) that not only supports it...but enjoys it himself.

If Connor would just play the game he would gain more respect than trying to act tough.

Every team has those guys.

Every ISU game I watch, Conditt is jawing with the other team and the officials.

What was Fran complaining about with Iowa at the line with like 10 seconds to go? He was barking at a ref standing there by him.

Well you can only recruit so many guys.

Losing 4 out of your rotation would pretty much kill any team.

Can you imagine ISU without Jacobson, Bolton, Griffin and Nixon?

Lol what 4 guys that Iowa has out are comparable to those guys? They knew Bohannon wasn't going to play going into this year that's on them

I've never heard the words "brutal conditions" used for a basketball game. There's a first. Put it right up there with the Under Armour ball excuse.

Use any 4 you want in the top 11 at ISU and it would still be next to impossible for them to trot out a competitive group.

Players you have out this year:

A kid you knew who would be out
A former walk on who's missed one game
The entitled one who you knew wouldn't contribute
A kid who redshirted after his freshman year when he was healthy

Yeah just brutal luck there for Fran lol

When I think Penn State vs Iowa Basketball I immediately start thinking of NBA finals games to compare

He said he has never heard of brutal game conditions for a basketball game. I provided one off the top of my head.

Most gyms are climate controlled, but the Palestra is not and it was unseasonably warm in Philly that day.
