Fraschilla vs KU

As a Jayhawk fan this is one of the best post I've read. KU fans that don't think KU gets some favorable calls are just blind. Everybody has seen all those traveling videos that were never called on Duke. The top teams get their share of calls. The day that doesn't happen is the day you know your program has fallen.

All KU fans have to do is remember Vince Young's Jr. year when we had Texas beat by completing a 3rd down throw that would have allowed us to run out the clock. Instead an official that lived in TX called a bogus offensive pass interference right in front of UT's bench. The day Mangino said "Dollar signs" in the postgame interview and got fined by the Big 12. That's comparable to the Niang call when he was called for a foul while being laid on top of. The block/charge call is the toughest in the game but to ignore that call and call a foul on Niang afterwards was brutal.

The only thing wrong with the above post was the Niang hate from KU. Maybe it looked that way during competition but all the KU fans I know really respected Niang. Amazing player.

Thank you! I will concede that Niang was hard for anyone to truly hate, except hawkeye fans. I was just trying to use an example of an opposing player that got fouls called in his favor against KU.

The main point is that star players get calls. Period. Just sucks that KU always has those star players. ;)

Seemed like Niang and Ellis played for decades in college. The current Cyclone I like is Morris. I see him being a backup pg in the league for a long, long time and that's a really hard position to make a living playing.

I really hope Monte can stick in the league. The NBA just baffles me sometimes. If you're not a superstar, it doesn't seem like you matter. I think Monte has a lot to offer, but he'll never be a 15+ per night scorer.

There was no Monte ovation even though he has led the the country in assist to TO ratio in several seasons. But we did win in Lawrence his senior year.
As I pointed out, the Niang thing happened because it was senior night so no one was shuttling out the door and our tv guy (who had just worked his last KU game ) gave a "how about that Niang" comment on the microphone. It was a unique situation due to it being senior night.

I just mentioned it to point out how absurd the notion is that KU fans hated Niang. We didn't at all.

I'd be interested to see a list of the letters that were issued.
And I'd like to see a list of ethically questionable hires by KU or its boosters of relatives/friends of basketball players. It'd be a lot easier if they'd just do it the old-fashioned Miami way and just give the players the hookers and blow right up front.

The Big 12 Conference has released a statement regarding the officiating during the Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game on Monday, February 25. This will be the only public statement by the Conference on the matter.

The Big 12 Conference acknowledges that officiating errors were made at the end of regulation during last night's Kansas at Iowa State men's basketball game. The plays have been reviewed and appropriate measures will be taken by the Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials to adjust the number of future assignments for the two officials involved in conjunction with Conference policies.

There's a reason the Big 12 Offices quit issuing apology letters. Almost every one of their letters involved a mistake in a game in which KU was the beneficiary.

I'm asking for some substantiation to the bolded statement. You must have a list of the apology letters that the Big 12 has issued, right?

Ok, so there's 1. JC alleges there are several more.
Once again, not understanding sarcasm.
