I feel bad for some of the female media personalities because they get some real creepers that follow them on social media that make some awkward comments. My wife was watching one of Megan's FB live videos either during a storm or before she was going on air once and some guy kept commenting about how good she looked and she called him out while doing the video asking him to stop else she would have to block him. These same creeps seem to comment on just about every one of their social media posts too either just saying hi or commenting about how good they look in that picture. A couple years ago I saw one of the videos the weather team made just chatting with each other off screen before a newscast and Megan was sitting in a chair with her legs crossed and some guy made a comment about she had great legs. I get it, Megan is an attractive woman just like most of the TV personalities usually are but you go look at some of these guys profiles and some are married or just plain creepy looking and I know if I was stalking or making inappropriate comments like many of them do my wife would probably kick my ass if she came across that. Dunno what their angle is but the people they do this to it's not like they are going to leave their family to hook up with some random creep on the internet that comments on all their posts.

Remember when the Morning Rush tried to set Seann up with that nice lady from the local news? Can't remember her name. I felt bad for her because they were really pressuring her.

I think that was Maria Lisignoli and Maria already had a boyfriend at the time which made it even more awkward because I'm sure that put her in an interesting spot having to explain to him what they were trying to do.

Yes it was her. Travis was being a complete dbag about it. She was very polite and I felt bad for her.

Just saw they have some new weather chick intern on KCCI for the summer on the noon news today. Sounds like she is doing the weekend mornings. Wonder if that puts Metinka on the weekday mornings now? I assume Kurtis is staying on a while longer yet. Thought he was hanging it up in May.

Amber Alexander has some creeps too. And then there was one guy who commented asking if she was pregnant. When she said "no" and advised him it's not a good idea to ask women that question, he countered with, "I guess you're just fat then." Ugh.

Rick Mitchell did weather at WOI-TV when I was in Ames during the early 1990's. He is now Chief Meteorologist on Channel 5 KXAS in DFW. Of the bunch in DFW, I think he does the best job with severe weather coverage.

Kurtis was on last night at 10 and I wondered aloud why. Also, there was a new young man doing weather this past weekend, I think at 6 and 10. Not sure on times, and I never was watching when they introduced him, if they did.

I met him once when I was in hs (so like, 1989). He'd been the anchor as long as I could remember already at that point. He is also shockingly small compared to how he looks on TV.

I ran into Ron at work one day and I was shocked at how short he is. I think I could have stuffed him into my shirt pocket.
