Ferentz to PSU?

Jealousy??? Jealousy???

Of what? The 7-6 record against ISU? Losing to Minnesota and Northwestern on a regular basis? The alcohol issues? The drug issues? The sexual assault cases? Brandon Wegher?? Rabdo-gate?

The only thing that I may be jealous of is that weak *** football schedule, playing 6 of the bottom dwellers of division 1 almost guaranteeing a bowl spot. Although you almost blew that one by losing to Minny. At least ISU is able to beat the teams we are supposed to (and then some).

Hook, Line, Sinker.

All we need is for Ferentz to say how much he likes it in Iowa City. 5 to1 he's gone.

I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want PSU's head coaching job right now. Perhaps after things shake out, knowing how and when Paterno goes, but honestly, until we know exactly who is gone, how the public reacts, how recruits react, etc., etc., I don't think any coach is salivating at that job.

Follow hall of fame Jo Pa....follow pedophilia scandal....be under a microscope(in more ways than one).

Yeah, i mean didn't kf immediately get in touch with the law enforcement after he heard about the events that were alleged to have gone on in the party room? Or did he move djk in there, knowing full well the kid would probably clean up any evidence?

Please remind me about the details with that, I seem to have forgotten. Also, didn't kf and the athletic department just sit on things for weeks or longer before being prompted to actually do something by the accuser's mother?

Go Hawks!

No, no, no. Captain Kirk and the rest of the folks at EIU tried every avenue possible to keep this thing under wraps. They even went as far as having a big meeting with the victim encouraging her to keep the whole incident within the "Iowa family" rather then going to the authorities.

The only reason any university would want to handle criminal activities internally without police involvement is to keep things quiet so nobody finds out. Once again... the reputation of the athletic department is far more important then the victim of these crimes.

Case in point... the two rapists involved in that ordeal were transferring and were given glowing recommendations by the EIU football staff. Obviously these were high character individuals.

I think they'd want someone absolutely squeaky clean to replace Paterno, especially after all of this (how strange is it that the standard-bearer for running a clean program is probably going to be forced out for something like this). Given some of the thuggery that's taken place under Ferentz's watch, I think he'd be crossed off the list. Urban Meyer might be the only one I can think of who's boy-scout (bad reference) enough for PSU.

If there is anything better to put on a resume for PSU head coach than this, I don't know what is. Solid blue collar style of play, good but not elite results on the field, and a proven track record of successfully making really ugly sex crime incidents go away with next to no damage to the athletic department. Throw in his roots in PA and he is the perfect man for this job.

Any Clone fan would accept all of the above to have the success Iowa Football has had.

Keep in mind.... Penn State had plenty of issues of thuggery and douchbaggery while Paterno has been the coach. For awhile they were neck and neck with Iowa for leading the nation in arrests just a few years ago.
