I know A LOT of hawk fans that would be thrilled to see him leave. I hate the hawks and even I get frustrated watching such a boring, conservative, and terribly time-managed gameplan.

Come on now. Pretend, Kirk was at Penn State for the current incident. He would have done the right thing.
It's not like he would have ordered the shower to be cleaned and all DNA evidence thrown away, immediately after finding out about it. (oops)
Let's try that again. It's not like he would have turned around and given Sandusky the Assistant of the Year award, knowing the trouble he'd caused. (oops, again)
Man, this is hard.
Suffice to say, I am confident that had Kirk been the one in charge at Penn State, while the whole Sandusky thing went down, he would have done the right thing...
...provided Sandusky did not live in low income, subsidized housing.
That was amazing. Great play. Actually something related to football, albeit having nothing to do with this thread.
You take a Ferentz to PSU question and turn it into "well, if KF were there he would shove it under the rug as well because he is a scum bag." That is what amazes me.
Sounds like you have some solid intel into the Iowa Athletic Program. One of the worst in the country, it sounds like. You must have sources deep inside the program. Heck, if you know all of these bad things going on you better go to the authorities...you wouldn't want to get into trouble for not!
:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh:well, he's already got one rape under his belt. I'd say he's capable.
KF's idea of moral fiber is putting wild mushrooms on his bran flakes.
I don't see why any coach would want to step into the ashes of the largest scandal in college football history. Nothing else even comes close.
PSU will not have one problem finding a great coach. Getting rid of JoPa will do wonders for their football program. PSU, scandal or not, is one of the top jobs in the country and the Big 10 is a winnable league. They'll have great coaches lining up to interview.
My guess is that Penn St will have a hard time finding somebody who wants to step into that position. And they'll have a harder time getting recruits for awhile, which will make success for a new coach even harder. No athlete will want to be associated with Pedo State, Baby-raper U, ***-cracker U, the New Happy Valley, monikers. This isn't leaving the news for a long time, and I'm guessing its a decade-long rebuilding project, at best.
agree here.
Exactly....I was talking to a couple of friends at lunch and they didn't seem to think there would be NCAA sanctions. How could that be?
Baylor got drilled for their deal.
OSU gave alway sports trinkets.
Something has to happen to PSU based on this doesn't it?
Decade long? They're going from first place in their division this week to an instant cellar dweller? I don't think so. There are plenty of coaches that will jump at the chance to be at a school with such tradition, facilities, and recruiting ties.
Jealousy??? Jealousy???It's a common form of jealousy.
Ferentz is PSU's wet dream and it's always been his dream job but I think he's too smart to tiptoe through those tulips.
Why Turner Gill 2.0. I'm sure the real Gill will be available next season.I don't think there will be NCAA sanctions, but heads will roll.
Whoever takes over at PSU will have a lot of damage control to do, but football will go on. I think PSU will take a deffinite hit, but will not go completely into the tank.
My guess is that the immediate predecessor will have mediocre success for a few years, get fired, and set up the next coach who will start the rebuilding process.
The next hire will be the safest possible hire for PSU. They will take absolutely no risk at further scandal. Because of this, they will end up with Turner Gill 2.0. Someone who runs a classy program but will not win nearly as much as JoePa. Because it is PSU, they will probably still have some decent success for a few years, but after that, they will be looking for a new coach again.
