Ferentz goes full arrogant

My neighbor who played football at Iowa sez that the next head coach will be Brian Ferentz.
My Response...GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BECAUSE THATS NOT GONNA WORK!!

That couldn’t happen now….. no way. The fans would seriously revolt.

Maybe it could happen in a few years if BF improves??

I’m not a KF fan, but the reporter acted like a major ****, was disrespectful, and went out of his way to embarrass KF, and his intentions were not veiled very well.
The Ohio reporter just asked the questions that everyone in the room has been dying to ask for weeks, some for years. It’s going to sting no matter the tone. Kirk was banking on his typical stack of cream puffs to squeak past and salvage the season but this guy asked the hard questions before Kirk could grab the Northwestern life raft. Imagine if Kirk was coming home to OU with a healthy QB and upcoming roadies at OK St and TCU.

Caught this hot take last night. There is an article on ESPN that shows all the number but here is the summary. Iowa would have been better off punting on first down of every possession. Running their offense cost them average of 14.3 yards every drive.

I guess that gives more meaning to the Tee Shirts you see in Eastern Iowa that state "Punting is winning".

How good must it be at Iowa for KF that he is pushing through the obvious failures to prop up Brian for the HC job? I mean, if Brian is good cant he just do it himself? Or is the Iowa job really that cushy?

What would make anybody think BF can do it himself? The offensive line started going downhill after he joined and they pushed their former OL coach to DL. Their offense is the worst in the country.

Kirk is propping him up because he has to. He could probably make it somewhere as an OL coach. But he sure as hell isn't a good enough OL coach to make that unit the strength of the team. The only thing that has kept Iowa's OL from completely falling apart is they got guys like Linderbaum and Wirfs that looked NFL bound as soon as they played games as Fr. They got those guys because of Morgan and Doyle creating NFL OL before. I'm sure Proctor going to Iowa was influenced by Wirfs' success, but maybe he's realizing that Wirfs was going to the NFL no matter where he went to school.

Destroyed in Ohio for the arrogance/pompous attitude on Sunday.

On Tuesday said he was glad he wasn't such a low-life like a writer.

FAKE APOLOGY on Wednesday.

Omaha W-H today.

Can it get worse at eiu? Maybe.

He’s answering his critics by mocking how they make a living - that sums it up pretty well. What an arrogant petty dinosaur.

This is why this nepotism thing is so rough. He probably wouldn't have gone haywire this week if the person people were attacking was some random coach and not his son. When family gets involved people's patience gets a lot thinner.

Well that's exactly the point. He cant do it himself and the job is so cushy that they are hanging on as tight as can be. The mere insinuation (not to mention plain as day facts) that there are issues and they jump to insults. Talk about insecurity.

If KF didn’t want tough questions, or unfriendly tone….. maybe you shouldn’t make your son the OC and QB’s coach.

Not that hard to figure out. You HAVE to know when you make your son the OC that things are going to be extremely difficult if he fails….. and that’s what has happened.

James Ferentz will probably start at center for Patriots this week since the starter is injured, but he has to be near the end of his storied career, mostly on practice squads.

Which makes him perfectly qualified for some assistant coach position with the Hawks. What position do you think Barta will hire him to fill?

Diversity and equity committee coordinator. Better yet, move Brian to this position and have James as the new OC.
