Bad look,but I wish there was more discourse between coaches and the media. Way too many cozy relationships out there.

Kirk's stubbornness just adds to another delicious layer of this debacle. Great thing is he will have to do this at least 5 more times this year. Although, they will probably win 2 or 3 of those and he can point to something other than the past. If they would happen to win 4 of the next 5 Brian will probably get a lifetime extension.
What a total *******. The media in this state gave him a bye on multiple investigations of racism and covering up rape. So many of these things on the nepotism so far haven’t even honed in on the other relative on his staff and his role in their talent. Just an arrogant jerk.

all media in the state of iowa are far too often too scared to ask the tough questions. Don't want to ruffle relationships or risk not getting a media pass. Actual sports reporting in Iowa is a joke.

The Iowa beat writers are a special group... whether they are polishing the balls of the Iowa program or "asking the tough questions" they come across as a bunch of weird fan boys. Let they record show they aren't asking the tough questions, they are whining alongside the rest of that fan base.
Remember folks, this is good guy Kirk who deserved a chance to change the culture of the program....
He hasn't been held accountable for anything as Iowa's coach and he knows that now. The media is criticizing his kid so he's going to be an ass to them knowing full well nothing will happen.
He's extra salty because this season will more than likely cost him the wins he needs to be a HOF coach...
If you want to know why Ferentz never went to the NFL this is why. He could never stand up to the scrutiny.
