Now that 2018 is in and 2017 is of the past, as a movie lover, I thought it would be fun for everyone to post their 2017 rankings of their favorite movies they liked (Has to be released in theaters in 2017). Here is mine to start things out. I actually included every movie I've seen.

As you can see, there are quite a few more recent movies I just haven't seen yet that would likely be really high on here. I just haven't seen them so can't add them.

I saw most of OP’s movies except animated ones. Movie I didn’t see that I wanted to was The Big Sick.
 
I saw a lot more than I realized. Several of them were at home, but most were at the theater.

My biggest movie regret was not seeing Baby Driver in the theater. I watched it at home and loved it.

My second biggest movie regret was watching Despicable Me 3 in the theater. It was just awful.

My four movie list would be:

That is a good list of movies to see. I found Dunkirk to be surprisingly boring, but overall still worth seeing. I'd also consider adding The Greatest Showman to this list.

The Greatest Showman is one of those movies that I know I will like if I were to sit down and watch it, but constantly think "do I really want to watch this right now" whenever I am on the fence haha. I'm sure I'll see it sometime in the future though, and reallly enjoy it.

Keep in mind that while my list is big, most of those I did not see in the theater. Truthfully, I watch a lot of movies, but the large majority are just ones where I reserve the blu-rays free online for pick-up at my local library. Pretty easy and doesn't cost a dime.

Alien: Convenant (Disappointment of the movie year)

I don't think I've seen many 2017 movies at all. I loved The Big Sick, it was by far my #1 (I really like Kumail's sense of humor):

  • Fifty Shades Darker (it was just so bad)

Wow. I had to go through a list of 2017 movies because I just couldn't remember what I had seen this year. Less than I thought. Obviously I don't go to the theater much without the kids and the wife and I have been enjoying more Netflix series than full movies lately.
