Are you a Chizik hater? Are you one of those calling for Chizik to be fired after two games? Are you one of those suggesting that the coaches don't have a clue? Those are the folks that I think this thread is directed towards. If so, then yes, I would consider you a fair weather fan.

Second guessing the coach, criticizing decisions etc. is part of sports. To me a fair weather fan is one who is willing to throw his team under the bus instead of supporting them. You don't seem like that kind of person.

Similar to last year... those that abandoned the team include....
those that don't show up, those that leave early, and those that come only to complain. Over / under is 4. Such a natural for Clone and Hawk fans to compare programs I'll still take the over. Ferentz won 1 game his first season... 3 the next. 2 games in and people... not fans... are questioning the coaches already... people need not show up.... fans only please !

Anyone who is actually calling for Chizik's job is not helping anything here. I don't care if we go 0-12, I'm not going to be calling out Chizik...at least not for his job. I think its perfectly fine and good to call out some of his coaching moves and coaching decisions. He is not above scrutiny IMO. However, calling for his job in this season or the next season or the next season is flat out silly.

They are not kids. They do work hard. They are compensated nicely for it and please don't make me list all the perks they get. People should not boo them. Let's tone down the hyperbole next time.
ISU needs all their fans. Calling out other fans is just stupid. Every fan base has them and that will never change regardless of how much you "call them out."
I'm amazed that anyone has the audacity to call out ISU fans after the support they have just shown a 4-8 team from last year that is 0-2 against teams ISU should beat.

Programs are turned around by great coaches. Someone with so much football knowledge should know that. If it were the fans, I feel sorry for Wake Forest. OH, wait, they just won their conference with one of the smallest fan bases and stadiums in the country.

I disagree with this statement in it's entirety! I couldn't care less if people complain, think Cris Love is still on the team, stand / not stand, boo the team, leave litter in the lots or criticize the coaches. They're there, they care, and that's all that matters. The most important thing a fan can do for the team right now is plant his butt in the seats! Inviting people to stay away is silly...

Winners own up to their errors and seek to correct them. There is no defeatist attitude. Every loser of a coach I know makes excuses for why they can't win. You fit right into that mold.

Apparently you'd prefer the stadium contain 15,000 die hard fans (meeting your strict definition of a FAN) who'd stand for the entire game and cheer every move ISU makes. I on the other hand have no problem with PEOPLE who don't meet your definition of FANS, and prefer 57,600 PEOPLE in the seats. They can do or say whatever they like so long as they come...
ISU's athletic department has made major marketing inroads since the hiring of GC to attract the very fringe fans (I mean people) that you now desire to run off. Please explain to me how a return to the days of 32,000 FANS in the stadium is of benefit to the team and / or athletic department?

Ditto 22...I look at it this way....I live life day to day, some days are good, some days not so good but there's always a next day. I've decide to view our football team that way as well....take it game by game. Yeah, it sucks to lose but hopefully next game we'll see some kind of improvement. If not, then I'll focus on the next game. And if the season doesn't go so well then I'll focus on recruiting and next year.
Life's too short to get all worked up over a football game.
edit: totally forgot to mention that I'm 100% behind Chizik and his staff. Good things will come, we just need to be patient.

Please explain to me how it benefits ISU's team and athletic department to have 32,000 FANS (my estimated number - you never said it) in the stadium as opposed to 56,700 concession-using, paying, swearing, complaining, early leave-taking PEOPLE. That's the position you're advocating! I'm waiting...
P.S. If you do attempt to defend your position, I doubt Jamie Pollard will agree with you. I think he prefers the cash that comes with the paying customers...
ISU's first-year MBB also lost to UNI last year, and Drake too for that matter. Were you ranting and raving about his poor coaching skills as well? If not, why???
