I guess I was misinformed then
No big deal since I was planning to sit this one out anyway
You'd think the Market Makers would have worked up a better deal, given the "supposed" pent up retail demand. I hope to see better price action above $41 in the chart belwo, or I'm gonna sell.

What are your thoughts now it's at ~$41 ??
I'm thinking selling all but ~200 and waiting a month for the "quiet period" to lift to see if company can provide comments and guidance.
I sold most of mine at $41.07. I'm going to do like you said and wait for a while and perhaps buy again later.
My god I'm an idiot. I usually set-up trade triggers after buying a stock. I had a purchase order on some FB stock as long as it was below $42. It took hours for the stock to appear.
I ended up getting it for around $41.
I then put in a trigger to lessen my downside exposure.
If the last of TIP is greater than or equal to 39.50
Sell xxx TIP at stop limit $39
I've done this probably 30 times and never had a problem. The problem is that I used "greater than" rather than "less than".
So it sold for $40.07

You shouldda kept reading the thread.
GOOG was 76x PE one month after trading at $85. AMZN was trading <$10 after the .Com bubble collapse and had a PE of > 100x.
PE means nothing, PEG is the metric.
And I'm not defending FB; I'm pointing out how the market values high growth.
not really sure if that sentence makes any sense
but I'm not saying FB at a >100 PE is correct, or useful at all
just saying in general PE can be more valuable than some other metrics, maybe its just my personal stance
Say 50 since most of the quick growth has come and gone. People that will use it are already in the fold. Farmville is only so much fun.
At their Road Show presentations, before going public, they shared their top-line revenue growth at about 42% (and slowing from the previous quarter). Not too shabby.
Any deviation above/below that mark will cause serious action in the stock price.
