Expectations for 2018-2019

Also, I don't think the league will get 7 bids this year. Only 6. OU and OSU will take a lot of lumps.
Having a couple of 2-4 conference win teams in the league can distribute a lot more wins to the rest of the conference improving the chances of extra teams making the dance.

CSP really seems to like the constant effort Jacobson gives. Talks about it all the time. It will be interesting to see how he uses Jacobson, Cam and Solo. Especially since how much he says they have been playing small in practice. Cam better really stay on coach's good side this year.

Yes please

I’ll certainly be surprised if THT is starting to start the season, tho That’s our most talented 5 players, and likely the best offensive lineup. Defensively probably depends on matchups.

Not sure about THT but that's some length out front.

Wonder how much Solomon Young's time goes down. :/

He stood out (to a barely interested nonpartisan fan) to me when I watched a couple Nebraska games. Constant activity. Goes for every available loose ball or rebound.

My bold prediction: Lewis shoots over .440 from 3 this year.

I'll take 40%. Terrence showed flashes towards the end of the year as many have mentioned. I thought Prohm's comments today on TLew were spot on, "He needs to make shots and really defend." Hoping he can take a step forward this year and then can be a major contributor in 2019-2020.

I'm not so sure TCU takes a step back. Two stud pg's, strong recruiting class, other returning talent, very good coach.

Yeah, it's kind of funny, but I see TCU and WV as having the exact opposite issues this year.

While Huggins is great at getting the most out of underrated or inexperienced guards (and I fully expect him to do it again this year), normal logic would say TCU has a better chance of hiding its holes (front court) as guards typically matter more (and are more difficult to hide) than bigs.

It'll be interesting to see how it plays out as both are elite coaches.

I'll believe Young is coming off the bench when I see it. Lard is clearly better but IMO last year he was great coming off the bench. His energy overwhelmed bigs who had to try to run the floor with him. I realize competition got more difficult by the time both were starting but we never found that energy off the bench when Lard was put in the starting lineup. The nights when both he and Solo picked up early fouls were especially rough. I love both but would prefer if one came off the bench, maybe it won't be as big a deal with Jacobson in the mix now as well.

If we're looking at the bench guys being Young, MJ, Talley, Lewis plus the freshman, I'm not super worried about who is starting. Not many teams can bring 70-80 p5 frontcourt starts off the bench.

Solo coming off the bench might be a little bit more likely now with the groin injury that is being reported.

Time to put those boys in bubbles so no more of them get hurt or sick.
I know I wasn’t the only one who said a quick prayer before Wigg jumped over Lard. Haha

Was waiting for Prohm to step in and say something, like Fred did a few years ago when a couple key players wanted to jump over each other.

Unless Young went crazy on offensive development I'm not sure how he is in over Lard.

Nothing wrong with veteran depth down low though.
