Were the hot dogs and hamburgers all you can eat? I would have ate 30 and made myself sick. My grandpa use to go to old country buffet for breakfast and try to stay for lunch for the one price of breakfast.
yeah, they were. Big beefy hot dogs and the burgers were little sliders. Fine, but nothing special. The smashed burger I bought from a normal concession stand was MUCH better than anything in the VIP area.

I don't think the OP is complaining about the fact that he ate the food. I think the issue is that the type of food provided wasn't what he would expect when buying a VIP pass. I don't think the analogy of eating a full steak and then asking for a refund because it wasn't good is applicable here, because it wasn't the fact that he ate it, he just expected better quality for what he paid.
The analogy is about timing. If you want a full or partial refund you lose the ability to do that reasonably after going to all three games and not raising it during the event. If you go the first night, see what’s there vs what was advertised and ask for a refund that is reasonable. Even doing it the second night is probably reasonable because by that point you know exactly what the experience will be and it wasn’t just first day issues.

The turkey sandwich night looks like something they would have served at Fyre Fest.

I've been to Disney twice and all that seems like par for the course. They will take your money at all costs.

I would let them know how you felt. All companies/event planners are looking for feedback. They probably won't give you a refund but might throw in a Disney sweatshirt or maybe a ticket to next year's event for taking the time to voice your opinion.

Disney has a brand they have grown and protect.

I'd bark. That was straight garbage

Overpaying for an underwhelming experience is on brand for Disney in 2023. That company has ZERO money right now is shaking the couch cushions for money in order to afford their mandated Hulu purchase.

I would complain tactfully. Especially regarding the "evening sessions will have a heavier food offering." A Holiday Inn express for $95 has better offerings and you get a hotel room.

- Be brief
- Be kind
- Give a couple specific examples of what was a shortcoming
- Tell them that you feel a fair resolution would be X (I'd suggest a 25% refund)

And then let it go. If they never respond, it's not worth your mental space.

If you don't ask, you won't receive. If you ask, you might!

That looks to be operated by Experience Kissimmee and not necessarily Disney?

Yeah no it doesn’t and it’s Disney, you’re just wasting your time

If I know 2015 like I think I do, this is more about the experience than the money for him. And now it will include their response to his follow-up. So, I look forward to his report about the next episode.

Outside of the hospitality section, the tournament was very poorly ran. Little information compared to most tournaments with the NIT Tip-Off being of similar vibes... just like show up and figure it out. The website is absolutely awful and it's actually a separate custom TicketMaster account just for ESPN Wide World of Sports which is madness. The entire place was basically shut down without any of the restaurants or activities availble except for the tourney itself. Not even a Uber Pickup area sign until you found it yourself.
Not attending the tournament, this would be my biggest complaint. We were traveling so I was trying to look at the bracket to see if/where games would be televised so I could look to see if we might be able to watch. The posted bracket had nothing for tv information, even for the first round. I know for about every other holiday tournament we go to, each game is pre-listed with time and TV, so this was surprising for being an "ESPN Event"

It's Disney. If he wanted steak they probably would've charged him $200 not $90.
