ESPN Bowl Projections

Which bowl or whom we play is not the big issue here. While I know we'll give any opponent our best shot, we're almost sure to be up against a team with more physical talent than us. The big thing is the extra practice time to help the young guys, especially on D, get ready for next season. And the national exposure to help recruiting. The coaching staff has done a pretty good job of recruiting this year, with almost no help from games being on the tube. Hopefully those last uncommitted big time D line studs will be watching.

This. Program instability has been a huge handicap for this team the past 3 years. The chance to continue to work within the new schemes that Rhoads and his staff have brought is huge, especially considering the schedule we have for the the next two years.

I very much disagree. Outside of a potential SEC opponent at the Independence Bowl I feel like we aren't that outmatched at any of our possible bowl births. I would say there is no doubt in my mind that Navy, or the middle of the pack Big 10 team are not more talented than us physically.

But You are right the bigger thing is the exposure and the extra practice time. Here's hoping we get a couple more big D line commits.

Georgia.. will be just like the Alabama match up.... A BIG opportunity and we will need to be VERY prepared... something tells me we will with our ex Auburn coach.

I am in 100 percent agreement with you on this.

It would litterally be Men vs. Boys if we had to play South Carolina or Georgia..... Could get ugly.

I like how we would matchup against Minnesota, they haven't scored a td forever including against SDSU. The SEC matchups look a little brutal.

Disregarding the incorrect use of the work "litterally (sic)", but what do you base this on? Georgia just lost at home to Kentucky. They had some decent wins early on, but haven't been too impressive lately.
South Carolina is, once again, awful in the second half of the season. They lost their last 3 and will probably lose to Clemson this weekend. Did you see their bowl game against Iowa last year? They were one of, if not the worst bowl team I have ever seen. They barely even showed up. The only reason that the game was as close as it was (24 points) was that Iowa seemed to realize SC didn't care so they scaled it back themselves.

Honestly, I'd be fine with playing Georgia, but I would actually be disappointed to play South Carolina.

I understand what your saying but the weakest link to our football team is our defensive line. Georgia and SC O-Lines are huge and massive and that would allow them to do whatever to us on offense (which alot of teams have done with us this season). With the receivers we have and both those teams D-backs I dont see us scoring easily with our up and down offense all season.

And should have (and really did) beat them. That FG was good!
I was in the end zone directly behind the goal posts , and that kick was good. when I walked into the stadium, the first thing I noticed was the high school uprights ,and mentioned it to my friend.talked to the stadium groundskeeper for the football and double A ball next door, and he said the football stadium was only used for the bowl game or high school football.
