Equipment Sale

Line started forming before 10. Got in line about 10:20 and probably 150 ahead. Almost everyone was a Cyclone Club member

Same here. I couldnt believe how fast the tables were picked clean. I didnt get much at all. Most of the people who got there really early walked out with at least $100 worth of stuff

By the time I got in there 10:45, all the primo stuff was picked over. I did score a cheap pair of sweatpants, a stocking cap, a couple polos, and tailgating gloves (receiver grip gloves - insulated and you'll never drop a beer) for $34.

Some people were nuts. I saw a guy with 2 garbage bags full and another dragging around a heaping large cardboard box. I can't imaging the cost of all that, even if it is a good deal.

Kudos to him he already has his Christmas shopping done

Yeah, next time ill have to go way early. Im also going to bring a couple more people. I was the only one that went, and you pretty much need one person to go each direction to get the good stuff. By the time you get through one size the others are already picked over.

I can tell you one thing, if you are a guy that wears 3X shirts or pants that place was an absolute goldmine.

I got in line at 10:45 and got in at like 11:05 and there was pretty much nothing left in normal sizes.

Next year I'll be a cyclones club member and know what to do.

If you wear size 13+ shoes and 3x+ clothes, you were all set.

Got a nice zip jacket for me and the wife, a pair of nice running shoes, pair of ISU sweats, a pair of warm up pants, and a Big XII/ISU duffle bag. Glad we are Cyclone Club members (got in at 10:30) and glad the AD put this on.

In the future, I hope they prevent people from filling up large *** boxes and trash bags. If you can't carry it in your arms, you shouldn't be able to take it on the first trip (or bring more people to help carry). There was a group of 4 individuals that had multiple boxes of stuff. One person was designated to watch over their boxes, while one guy went to each table scooping items into the boxes. . Then, right by the checkout lines, they sorted through and determined if they wanted each item.

At least no one backed up a Toyota Tundra to load.

If I were a FB coach or school administrator, I'd be snagging football pants/gloves for practice. Many nice Nike FB pants cheap!

Id be interested to hear about jerseys people got that were there early.

I came out pretty well...got in line at about 10:15 and they were plenty of people ahead of me so I regret running behind this morning! Especially after I saw a few people walking out of there with away football games jerseys. Some guy was going through a cardboard box of like 6 of them..I asked if they were fair game and he said they were his. I wanted to punch something.

I couldn't get a good look at many game jerseys, but I did see a guy walking out with #87.

I ended up with an away football jersey and a home hoops jersey. I was pretty close to the front of the line but some people at the front literally grabbed about every jersey they could get their hands on and put them in a box to sort through later. Now, I am a big jersey collector (in fact, added a Troy Davis today!) but that isn't right. Also, a few open sides to the tent and a barn fan or two would have went a LONG way!

This is an excellent point. I'm a Cyclone Club member and I got in at 10:30 and bought $150 worth of clothing, only what I could carry. I was amazed at the people who filled enormous cardboard boxes and dragged them out. I'm sure they'll be selling many of those items for profit on eBay. The Athletic Department needs to limit the Cyclone Club crowd who gets in from 10:30-11:00 to only what the can carry in their arms.

AD doesn't care how much whoever buys. They just want to sell it. If you weren't smart enough to bring a trashbag, box, or whatever then that's on you and you alone.

....and no, I was not there.

While that's true, there is something to be said in making it easier for more of your fans to have ISU gear. If they can sell the same amount of merchandise to 10 people vs 2, all the better.
