Epic meltdown: Iowa city

I'm not up in arms about this, I just find it funny as hell that ISU fans give Iowa fans crap about their basketball attendance, yet ISU is playing for a bowl game AT HOME, yet an ISU fan chooses to go to the Iowa game that was meaningless instead of supporting their team.

Isn't the same logic of being on a Cyclone game as a Hawkeye fan?

Thanks, but please explain how ISU fans can give Iowa fans crap about basketball attendance and not supporting their team when they know their team will suck, but yet an ISU fan goes to an Iowa game when ISU is playing for a bowl game and not support their team? If you can give me a reasonable explanation I will be gone.

I'm trying to understand why "no one supporting your team" is equal to "going to a more convenient game today" and demonstrates that you should be commenting on it?

Seriously, JTS looks more full (percentage wise) than nearly any MBB game at Carver looked last year. So... this argument makes you look like a petty ***.

Fair enough, but with this logic maybe a lot of Hawkeye fans aren't supporting their team because they have a more convenient high school game to go to.

As far as JTS looking full, that is what $10 and a hot dog and pop is suppose to do. :jimlad: Seriously though, the crowd does look good tonight.

This would mean that there were "more convenient" games the entire season, which we both know is not the case.

You said it best .. you don't understand.

Way to represent -- you are probably a squak fan if you are choosing to go to their games instead of ours.

Iowa was never as good as anyone thought they were this year. Their Defense is great, but their offense is sub par for rated teams, imo. And it shows when they have to score in teh 4th to win a game. For some reason we just can't do anything against them.

You're right. I have no reason to go to the Iowa game over the ISU game even though I can get a ticket and ride to IC in short order, but can't get a ride to Ames to save my life. I can't drive myself there since my car got totaled. But good job, Sherlock! You have me pegged as a bad fan because I can't make my way over there! If I were a true fan, I would have just hitchhiked over, right?

What is funny is the Cyclones are playing a game to get to bowl eligibility AT HOME and yet a Cyclone fan is at the Hawkeye game, who is getting the last laugh?

What's even funnier is a Hawkfan on a Cyclone board. Considering Hawks don't care about the Cyclones.

I'm surprised anyone went to a "meaningless" game versus osu today, sounds like he thinks it's a spring game.

did you wear your cyclone gear inside kinnick? Im on the fence for my opinions of those fans.

1. Your a ***** if you don't
2. Your a d-bag if you do

Most hawk fans wear their **** to cyclone games. Im sick of it. Why the hell don't cyclone fans wear ISU **** to IA city?? I do, for one. Who else does?

I hate Iowa, but last time I checked they are going bowling. If only 1/2 of our fan base cared about Iowa State football this much as some other do maybe we'd help our program by selling out our seats. If your in the state of Iowa, hell the Midwest, f@cking to to the game. I hate to be a ***** about this, but who gives a ***** if Iowa loses or not.

went to the hawkeye game today, most epic meltdown ive ever seen.

best part, which isnt good, but as far as meltdowns go, some fan said best thing about today is that we never have to see stanzi step foot in kinnick again, ticked off the guy next to them and the guy punched him in the face, broke his nose at the very least

Never seen such epic fighting between fans and meltdown in general
You wasting your damn time in IC? Why the hell werent you in Ames?

What you're not taking into account is that Iowa's fan base is about 4 times as large as Iowa state.

BTW-I just got back from the game.

I'm with you, actually. The OP is a tool for going to Iowa City to root against the Hawks rather than going to Ames to support the Clones.

That's some ****.

As a hawk fan, I just want to say, sorry you guys didn't make a bowl. You guys deserved it, and it's tough to swallow. We've had repeated kicks in the balls this year, watching our "great" D give up 4 game losing drives. Good luck in bball and wrestling.

Forgive me for not finding your 8 win season sympathetic.

I appreciate the gesture, honestly, I just can't feel sorry for Iowa fans this year. Yeah, you didn't win the National Title. You probably never will. We won't either. You still had a solid year that included a win over the (at the time) #5 team in the country.
