Ending Iowa's Dominance

He looks like he'd not only start on any team in FBS*, and would play if not start for NFL teams...

Pure skill and athleticism wise he was by far and away the best player on the field last Saturday.

*Except for some reason he doesn't start for Iowa. Perhaps that is by design so Iowa fans calm down before you get all triggered..

Most of it is Hesse and A. Nelson are really good players ahead of him. It’s such an advantage to be able to bring in a fresh Epenesa on passing downs and just turn him loose.

He was named co-B1G Player of the Week last week and only played 25 snaps.

I wonder how many PantherHoks will be wearing hok clothing this weekend and rooting for hoks even though they graduated from UNI? Trent Condon for sure comes to mind. He's a radio guy on the Des Moines sport station who just gushes with glee anytime he can talk about the hoks.

Matt Nelson was the only Iowa player on PFF's All Big Ten team just an FYI

And he went against ISU’s best OL all day that KF passed on. I am betting JGJ was wishing Pollard and CMC made him serve the suspension last week while he was getting blown up all game.

How is he on run downs? That could be a possible reason; if he over pursues it makes him a liability instead of an asset.

I figured it to be more of a "change-up," or perhaps motivational (freeing a caged animal) reasoning why he doesn't start.

Epenesa is more talented but Hesse is the better DE right now because of what you said above. A.J. has the tendency to lose contain on runs so this role is perfect for him right now.

Shouldn't you be talking about UNI this week? Why are you still here talking about this game?

Easily the worst game I remember seeing out of JGJ. Usually you never notice him which is a good thing but him and Foster stuck out all day

Whoa, talk about moving the goalposts. I don't think JGJ will struggle all season no. I've said 100 times our OL concerns me this year, Rhoads left us in a real bad spot

So Rhoads left you in a bad spot by getting players like JGJ and Meeker but you consider them misses by KF for not offering?
