For me, it's consistency. I have had good experiences at BK, but I've also had TERRIBLE experiences at BK. McDonald's is basically the same every time. A slightly lower ceiling? Sure, but it makes up for it with its consistency. I was once incredibly hungover in a European country where I didn't speak the language and was stuck waiting at a train station. Ronnie was there for me and I'll be damned if it didn't taste almost identical to the McDonald's I went to in high school.
McD's is the epitome of basic. Their burgers are absolutely nothing special and border on the most bland food from the entire list. The rest of their fare, outside of breakfast food, peaked about 25 years ago. I get a Big Mac about once a year to remind myself why I don't eat there more often.
I know and eat too many of them. They aren't as good as BKs.
Easier to keep things that are only barely food consistent. Thats their brand though.
When I was a kid, Pizza Hut was the good standard and dominoes was trash. Seems it’s turned a bit.
Their spicy chicken sandwich is the best chicken sandwich in fast food.
Agree- I’ve had plenty of Chipotle, Pancheros, and Qdoba here in DSM and it makes 0 difference to me.
I think at best they're both trash now. Maybe it's because I was a kid but I used to like Pizza Hut, Domino's has always been bad.
