Eli king?

Honestly, from what little I've seen of him, he looks comfortable out there. First game, he scored and had a really nice assist. He's not forcing things and I would like him to take some of Grill's minutes in a blowout like today.
Interesting, I've thought he doesn't look comfortable and is pretty small...

Im surprised he is playing PG. I always thought he was a shooting guard or at best a combo guard. I wonder if he is a PG based on need and the depth at shooting guard.

People expected him to be like senior year JJ Reddick his frosh/soph year is my memory, then when he actually was a total stud junior and senior year the same people were kind like "yeah we were too hard on him". It was start of a long stretch where everybody rides one player for a whole season. But memories are generally poor, maybe I'm remembering wrong.

At the time he was out highest ranked recruit in quite a while so that didn't help. If Omaha isn't lights out right away people are really going to be impatient. Even freshman year Fizer was really unpolished, it was just raw potential.

I should be the first to point out that Omaha hasn't scored for us yet. Concerning.

Hey now, grill did something remarkable last game that truly amazed me. I have never seen a three point shot go backwards. I had seen them miss every way possible, except going behind the player into the bench, but now I have.

Slow the **** down guys.

Eli is going to be good but like a lot of true freshmen, he’s going to take a year or so to develop into a Big 12 player. Since he won’t be a key contributor this year, it’s more important to get the first 9 in the rotation to gel, including our other freshmen that will be relied on.

Eli is doing well in practice and will be good, even without many minutes this year as he develops through training, practice against Big 12 bodies, etc.

I wondered as well but just assumed TJ is all about defense and there's a certain level required to get PT.
