Down goes Freddy

It obviously isn’t all about money because he took the nebraska job.
LOL that was more money again including the undeserved extension that he got.
Well he's too young to retire and I don't think he had a lot of options, also family ties to Nebraska. Fred doesn't need money he needs something to do.

Think it was more of a "I'm going to go there and resurrect my coaching career. Should be easy. And get paid a bunch doing it. Also, something, something family or whatnot."

Think what is more likely is Lincoln will now be on his coaching tombstone

COACH FRED HOIBERG
AKA "THE MAYOR"
BORN 2010 AMES, IOWA
DIED 2023 LINCOLN, NEBRASKA

Hopefully, the Fighting Freddies will turn it around and win at least two more of their remaining 6 games this season.... ;)

He beats the Fighting Frans twice, he may end up with as many conference wins as us, granted in a much weaker conference. At least we won’t be paying nearly as much per win.

Time for his Big Ten tournament run, Hawks fans have told me how mighty the Gophers are, if he can beat them, the sky is the limit.

okay...

I guess I fail to see what that has to do with whether an NBA team wanted him or not after the 2009 draft.

You said the t wolves wanted him before the first extension. It was the gophers job interview that led to the first extension.

I seem to remember Flip talking about Fred after his second extension.

I doubt he beats the Hawks even once, imo. Why? Beating MN is one thing because they are a similar team as Nebr. as far as talent. Both tough close losses Nebr had at home recently was because a star (Cockburn for Illinois, Liddell for OhState) took over at the end of the games to pull them from behind. Keegan Murray will go off against them and also overall Iowa will hurt them on the boards.

With their soft as a pillow frontline.

Roy was good til he ran out of knees.
And course they traded him. Sorry, when Fred was at the T wolves their drafting and personnel decisions were absolutely horrible. No idea how much Input he had, but NBA teams don’t typically go looking for front office talent from teams where pretty much every personnel decision was a complete flop.
