Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives - Des Moines metro

I've never been to big Al's, but I think I might need to change that. Support good people

He had out free meals at his Adel location during 2020 for awhile when things were shutdown that people could just drop by and pick up. Probably can find an article or news story if I search for it but it was his way of getting rid of inventory before it expired while also providing something to the community. I once read a really good story on his past and how he got to where he is today.

Al is one of the nicest, most caring people, you will ever meet. I will say that I don't think his BBQ is the best in town or anything, but will still keep going to his restaurants just because of how he acts on a day to day basis.

Blue Shark in Urbandale is trying to be the winner of slowest service in 2022 tonight. Just dont open if you dont have the servers.

We are being nice as its obvious these ladies just arent good at their job.

Rubes outside Waukee is a fave for us. Tsing Tsao in Waukee is great for Chinese.

Mandarin across from Texas Roadhouse has a dedicated menu button on their terminal just for my special lunch order.
