I would think a lawyer like Parish would "leak" info to the press if it was good for his client.
Rape cases are always very very hard/sad. It's the nature of the beast. Parish will do anything and everything to try and paint this young victim as the worst, sluttiest girl in the world.
It is a sad fact that these tactics that Parish and other lawyers use are what scare most girls from taking rape cases to trial. Doctors, counselors, lawyers will all tell you the same thing - be ready to be drug through the mud and have everything you have ever done "wrong" be brought to light. When a girl is vulnerable because of the rape, most can't also live though the stress of the trial too. Sad.

What many people don't realize is that alcohol IS considered and IS the most commonly used date rape drug...so even if they didn't slip a roofie or GHB and she was just blitzed off alcohol. They still raped her because she wasn't able to be in the "right state of mind" to give consent. Everyone should take note on this... when you wanna hook up with that random drunk girl at the bar, in the morning you have little power if she realizes that wasn't something she really wanted to do.
