If Nader lives there and was present at the time of the incident, I wonder why only BDJ was charged and taken into custody. Why did they let Nader off the hook? It seems like they would be equally guilty (or not guilty). This is another clue that there is much more to the story than we can discern from the reports we have heard.
Which leads me to my next point-- don't ever be caught acquainting yourself with someone who may/may not have smoked weed at some point earlier in the night. Darn kids...

Well the charges were around hosting a gathering where marijuana was used. They must have considered BDJ the host since the other guests in the apartment were his brother and his friend from California.
Just to clarify, three charges were initially filed against BDJ and only one has been dismissed at this time. The three charges were "nuisance party" and "noise ordinance violation" and "hosting a drug house." A judge dismissed the third charge. The first two are still pending.
I don't know if this has been pointed out, but Courts Online shows BDJ has already been cited twice previously for "nuisance party." The first incident occurred in late September and the second occurred in October, so the current charge of "nuisance party" is #3.

Does that sound serious? No, not to most reasonable people. However, he's already been cited twice for the same thing in the past 2-3 months.
So hopefully we can stop with the posts claiming that all charges have been dropped (it just isn't true no matter how many times you repeat it). And instead maybe we can acknowledge the problem here appears to be, more than anything, a pattern of problematic behavior. Whether that's enough to warrant disciplinary action by CFH, now that's something I think reasonable minds can disagree on. I think you can safely assume that the coaching staff have been trying to get as many facts as possible today so that CFH can make an informed, educated decision and not one based on rumor and innuendo.
One last note: I'm sorry but it is ludicrous to suggest that the cops and/or the prosecutor are acting in bad faith by saying they might refile the drug charge. This sort of thing is not uncommon.
Why do the cops look bad for making an arrest where an illegal substance was found?
I thought the "Darn kids..." would serve as a jimlad, but after three people interpreted my post literally I suppose I better go back and insert a jimlad. My bad.
A source say that even though BDJ was not under the influence, there was a bit of marajuana that was not claimed when found by the police. Due to the fact BDJ''s name is on the lease they took him into custody. WHo knows if it was BDJ's, Nader's, or anyone else who was there. But word is that BDJ will not be playing no matter what the outcome.
Because we're all partisan Cyclone fans and the subject of the arrest was a Cyclone athlete. He's supposed to get special treatment.
How do the cops look bad? They responded to a 3 AM noise complaint at an apartment they visit frequently for noise complaints. They smell dope, they find dope. What's trumped up?
Shouldn't we be ****** at the nosy neighbor that called the cops? They're the ones that started this mess, not BDJ. Right?
