December 11-12 Weather Thread

Remember, despite of actual "switchover" time from rain to snow, we are only forecasting slush to an inch through 11PM. Most accumulation after midnight.

I'm not terribly concerned about the precise hour this flips this afternoon because it's going to all melt, be pretty slushy at first anyway.

Still looking like 4 inches on the ground come Saturday morning in DSM?

I am not a scientist, but I believe it is super-cooled raindrops that freeze immediately when they they hit the ground. Because the ground temps aren't below freezing, that won't happen.

Well that is %100 correct. However because you aren't a scientist......you're wrong.

I guess now might be a good time to see how much mixed fuel is left in the fuel can since the Toro is bone dry. Was going to last night but the alcohol took over during the ISU beat down.

Yeah, I’m guessing 8-10ish on the deck here in Ankeny. A lot more than what I was expecting to wake up to this morning.

Edit: It’s really like 6-7. I’m terrible at guessing.
