I am not a scientist, but I believe it is super-cooled raindrops that freeze immediately when they they hit the ground. Because the ground temps aren't below freezing, that won't happen.

Never thought about deflating the tires...maybe I'll try that next year.ehh took about 30 min, set them out, rolled the mower over them, deflated the tires and hooked them in..

dad used to do that all the time on the Toro Wheel Horse we had. makes it a little easier to cinch them down all the way.Never thought about deflating the tires...maybe I'll try that next year.
