**** daylight savings

You seem to lack reading comprehension as to people's actual problem with not being on DST, and instead resorted to a straw man no one was arguing against.

I'm remembering why you used to live on my ignore list.
I could only dream of you actually putting me on ignore... one could actually not have put up with your ****.

No one is arguing this. Multiple people have explained to you.

Most kids end up going to school in the dark regardless of whether we're in DST or not. I did. This has always been the dumbest argument against permanent DST.

lol. Now I definitely remember why I had you on ignore. You're the one talking down to people as if they don't understand the scientific realities.

Now, back to the ignore list I think you go.
Cant disagree with everything said here more.

Hey people.....There is only about 9 hours of daylight today. In June there is over 15 hours of daylight. Its not the clock you hate, it is the seasonal cycle of the earth.
9 hours is plenty. My vote is lets have it from 10am to 7pm and start school later if you don't want kids walking in the dark. Maybe we need to ditch standard time and have DST and DST+. An added benefit is DST+ has no commercials.

LOL, straw man.

People are complaining about an hour, because they cant figure out there are literally 6 hours less daylight in the winter than in the summer. And somehow think magically Not switching the clock would make the day longer.

I dont want my kids going to school in the dark, I dont want them going or coming in the dark. Is that too much to ask. Or because someone elses kids have to then all of them should argument work.

I get it you dont have kids, I get it you dont care, I get it you want to have time to go outside and do things after work, in JANUARY. I get it because it is good for you, it should be great for everyone else. I get you think you are the smartest person on this site. But hey maybe in a few years when your balls drop you will learn a few things.
Last week he dumbed my posts when I said we need to protect players from serious head and neck injuries.

I wonder how much of the complaints are night owls vs early birds. I need standard time in the winter in order to wake up enough. I also have no issue if we would have an hour early darkness in the evenings during the summer as I can still stay awake with no issue. In fact I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep early enough because of it. I also like to be able to see the night lights at a more reasonable time in the summer. As others have said during the winter there isn’t enough time after work anyway.

I certainly understand the arguments for doing away with daylight savings but it was nice to see the beautiful pink light of dawn on my morning run today. Also, my kids won't have to walk to school in the dark today.

It usually takes me about a week to adjust to either but otherwise I really don't mind it.

A favorite thing in the year is in the spring when it's sunny later in the day. Just feels inspiring to get outside more.

Yeah @alarson I know the Earth's seasonal cycle is dumb, but unless you want to move south to near the equator, where it has about 12 hours per day of daylight year round, you will have to deal with it.

But then if you move there you still will have to deal with about 12 hours of daylight in the summer instead of 15 you get here.

Im sure you have stayed up more than an hour past your normal bedtime in the last month and didnt ***** about it. But an hour time change twice a month is the end of the world.
If people moved near the equator, then they would complain about not having 15 hours of daylight during the summer.

You do realize you’re the person that has been acting like a condescending ******* the past few days, right?

Good to see that everyone has survived the time switch and are still able to log into CF and b***h about it. Some things, unlike the time, never change. Enjoy what time you have left.
It’s not changing the clock; yesterday is one of my favorite days of the year. It’s that I would prefer to have more daylight in the evening

Awful lot of complaining about something we’ve literally been doing as long as we’ve been alive. I’ll also remind those who weren’t around in the 1970s that we tried year-round DST, even passed a law to do it for two years …but that first winter was so dark in the mornings that everybody hated it and the country ended that experiment early after only one year.
Yeah, I just will never understand why changing it twice a year is such a hassle.

I think this horse has been thoroughly beaten. Let’s move on to other more interesting topics, like Cyclone basketball & wrestling!
