I have not watched yet, the wife is working and the show is waiting on the DVR. I'm shocked - I thought with all the teens that seemed to be in love with David A. and how much Simon was praising him and being critical of Cook - David A. was going to win easy.
Glad I thought wrong.
I firmly believe as I said a couple weeks ago - David Cook will sell more records than any other Idol before him.

It wasn't really shocking to me, but I think Ryan said David C had 12 million more votes than David A. David C winning that easy was surprising.
I am not ashamed to say i finally voted last night with the girlfriend for david cook. maybe everyone else who watched the whole season finally voted hence the super surprise victory.

I've bitched about this before, but please don't post spoilers in the title. I was going to read up on the latest Wes news while watching Idol on Tivo. I know "stay off the boards if you're behind", but I didn't give it a thought. It's really message board common courtesy.
I hope you are all FORCED to watch this by your wives. I can understand watching Dancing w/ the Stars b/c of the hot pro female dancers. But there is no excuse to watch the last 4 years or so. Just my opinion, but this show has over run its course.
I feel exactly the opposite way, Dancing with the Stars is boring even with the hot girls, while American Idol songs can make me go wow sometimes, dancing well means nothing to me unless is "crazy hot" like on "You think you can dance". By the way I watch all 3 of these due to my wife watching them while I am on here or ESPN gamecast.
I really enjoy "So You Think You Can Dance?". That don't make me gay, right? Right.
I wasn't forced but my fiance has always watched and I just started watching this year b/c of her. It is a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be.
Also sorry if I spoiled it for anybody. I didn't mean to and forget to think about DVR.
IMO, no apology needed. Reading this thread spoiled it for me, but I've always been in the camp of "surfer beware" when it comes to recording games/shows to watch later.
If it's a huge deal for me - I just avoid the interwebs until I can watch it.
My wife watches it, and so I usually just surf CF and the web while she watches it.
Usually she just DVR's the show and watches it in about 5 minutes, but last night we just turned it on to watch the results... And on the HD feed of KDSM the audio cut out right when the winner was announced... That made me crack up.
I can honestly say I have never watched a single episode of Idol, Dancing, So You Think, Survivor, or any other show of that ilk. Does that make me gay? It doesn't, does it? :biglaugh:
No, that doesn't. But on the other hand your avatar with the dog in th flowers has you leaning very close to that cliff. :wink: (Sorry, I just couldn't leave those purple flowers unspoken of.)
I was at the bar last night playing sand volleyball when it was on. We had just gotten done playing and were sitting around drinking when they announced the winner. I was thoroughly disappointed in the number of dudes high fiving each other and cheering. At that point I was pretty sure that Christopher Lowell would be the "tough guy" in that bar.
