I thought this quote from Barrent was interesting:
It sounds to me like he was little nervous about Iowa's recruiting class (or lack there of), and the fact that MSU has already received several quality verbals (7 4-stars) made him more comfortable.

Historically, that is true. However, this will only be Dantonio's second season (7-6 last year). I don't think it's fair to judge him on past coaches results.
You wouldn't judge Chizik based on DMac's results, that's all I'm saying.
Agreed. They've always been such a mystery to me - loaded with talent but never better than average.

Ouch. That one is really going to hurt. This is one of their top recruits who has lost confidence in the program.

That hasn't been true lately - John L. Smith didn't recruit very well, and Dantonio is trying to build it back up.

Is it going to be a sign of the bad times in OWA city that recruits: 1. Don't trust the staff?

Who cares.... They lose recruits all the time.... They are a middle of the road team in the SLOW 11 Conference.... I don't care unless they lose them to us... Again more obsession with the other school in the state... :biglaugh:

Wow, it is interesting the CR Gazette completely ignored the story. They are basically a PR arm for the U of I. I worked there at one time. They have gone downhill fast.
