Daily Article on Uniforms

none of this will ever be considered anyway, its just fun to design and play around.

what about those awful Maryland unis they wore for their first game of the year that was cut down the middle and had the checkered shoulders and half helmets

and some of them had stripes down the side too.

It's not just a random design they used, it was connected to their state flag

With the small number in the corner, it reminds me of a soccer jersey. I like it much better
with the larger number.
Disagree, I like the smaller one better. The number over top of the stripes is just weird.

I like the jersey, but I just don't see us changing anytime soon. Still, I can dream.

Never implied it was random and I'm well aware of the concept. Just asking why those are legal but having stripes on the front wouldn't be.

It's not the legality. It's the fact that the uniforms are manufactured by Nike and "three stripes" is the Adidas logo. (your first uniform concepts had three stripes, not five.)

Who cares if the uniform has three stripes? Can no Nike uniform utilize a three stripe pattern just because it coincides with a competitor's identity? What happens with the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers next year when Nike takes over the NFL contract - are they going to have change their uniforms just to avoid copyright infringement? I doubt it.

Just because Adidas is "Three Stripes" doesn't mean Nike can't incorporate a three stripe pattern in a uniform set.
