If he is leading the nation in tackling, we are in deep trouble. Your line and ends should be your leading tacklers, if your linebackers or even worse your secondary are leading, you are in trouble, because too many people are making 8-10 yard plays.
The secondary were not great tacklers. The linebackers usually chased them down when the cornerbacks and safeties made feeble attempts to tackle. The only people making tackles were all in the Top 15 in the nation: Jon Banks, Tyrone, and Ace. I still believe that those three may have set a national record for number of tackles for a trio. Carper did okay too. The other 8 players when tackling were slugs.
