Cyclone.TV

Are you able to pause the live events, similar to a DVR? I usually have to put my daughter to bed around 7:15 and don't want to miss most of the first half.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure I tried this on the last game. I thought it was successful because I hit pause and it stopped. However, when I came back to watch, I'm pretty positive that once I hit play again, it jumped back to the live feed. Again, don't quote me on this, but I think that is what happened.

It's usually a 24 hour type deal. Probably won't be up until tomorrow night.

I think it is a lot of times up quicker than 24 hours, but it all depends. What I do know is that there is no TV contract or any other issues that restrict when the games can get posted, but is rather based simply on technology capabilities and manpower to execute it to get them up. Shoot, Cyclones.tv has the right to post the replay immediately after the game ends if they could actually pull it off.

Thinking about dropping sattelite and getting Cyclones.tv. quick question: are all basketball games on there or are there some I would miss?

Look at the schedule here:

If they say Cyclones.tv, then they are broadcasted live on there. However, if they say anything other than Cyclones.tv, they will be posted on there, but not live, and only as a decently delayed replay. As for how long that delay is, I can't exactly remember right now, but it is based on how long the conference TV contract forces them to delay it. I'm thinking it is a few days.

Is that site legit? Price seems too good to be true.
They're also good for third-party displayport/minidp adapters (e.g. for a macbook).

If you know anyone who has an employee discount that's related to stocking prices, ask them how much they can get a cable for (spoiler: it won't be much different from monoprice). It's ridiculous how much brick and mortar retailers gouge on cables.

I have watched every game on Cyclones.TV on my 42" since it started without ever connecting a cord. I bought a WiDi. It is similar to Chromecast. My suggestion is get Chromecast. It is simple and will make it so much easier for you in the future.

I know most (if not all) responses have been trying to help, but a few made me chuckle.

"I don't have any problems using my $2000 computer hooked up to my $3000 TV thru my $200 gold-played HDMI cable"

"I don't even notice the $10 coming out of my account each month".

We get it, you're loaded, congratulations! haha

Why would you waste that much money on a computer and TV? My $600 computer and $400 TV work just fine.

The iPad app works best for me. Information http://www.cyclones.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205422256
That streams to the Apple TV seamlessly. The phone app works just as well too.

Wife has a Mac Air, that will also stream but it is a little less in quality for some reason. Both work good.

Might get a small judder every now and again but overall the viewing experience is close to your best resolution HD channels.

I would think if you have a decent router, and good HDMI cable linking that to your TV would work pretty well also, just don't have any experience with that.

Will the iPad app stream to chromecast? I do not see the icon like you see when you stream YouTube .

I am not seeing the Maryland game on Cyclone.tv replays. Anyone else having this issue. Why isn't there a replay for this game?

Got the Chromecast going for the first time tonight. I watched an episode of WCW Nitro from 1997 last night to make sure it works.

I use the pop out and then zoom to 200% on my LG to make the browser picture bigger. Picture quality goes down as you zoom larger. Does not go to the full size of the screen but close.

Go to ESPN3. They have replays there. I watched the game again after I got home from Sprint Center. Bad idea. Got more ****** and couldn't sleep rest of the night.

So I have this issue tonight as my daughter has a Christmas thingy I have to go to. My IT guy at work suggests using camstudio to record live streaming events. I'm going to give it a shot tonight.

Worst case scenario and I miss it, how soon is the replay available?

Pretty quickly I imagine, since it's their own broadcast. I'd set tomorrow as the over/under.

How long does this thing go. If there is any way you can start the broadcast on time, you can pause it and restart it later and it will continue to work until about 30 minutes after the game is over. Then, they end the broadcast and you need to wait until next day.
