Cyclone in jail

Yea lets just forget about laws

Or lets just enforce them fairly and consistantly. My girlfriend was busted in a sting for this, and I was with. I was 20, but we had my brothers girlfried in the car who was 17. All the did was take the alcohol to the station, and said that we could pick it up on Monday at the station. No ticket, no nothing, but getting it away from the "true minor" I've gotten caught multipiple times with "fake minors" (18-21 yr olds) and they just make you dump it, and have the party break up, or make the "fake minors" leave.

I don't see how, if there aren't other charges for bundrage, that this makes any sense to cuff and stuff him. I hate to pull the hawkeye card, but something stinks here. Unless there is more, this is a non-issue. I'm sure it will be front page of the hawk rag, but national press would laugh at it if there isn't more to it.

Serious question, how does one get caught providing alcohol to minors exactly?

Apparently you were a nerd and was in study hall on the weekends.

21-yr old has alcohol in apartment.

underage visitors and friends arrive, and consume said alcohol

Apartment becomes boisterous, and some neighbors calls the police

Police knock on door. in view are young looking college students. alcohol is present

Police resort to checking ID's

Apartment renter is arrested

helloooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

just one scenario

Yea lets just forget about laws

A law that was forced upon our state through federal highway dollars blackmail. An immoral law that takes some adults (in almost every other way we have determined that 18=adult) and treats them as inferior. A law that 90% of college students will violate during their time. A law that is only still in place thanks to neo-prohibitionist groups like madd that keep fighting for further and further restrictions on alcohol use by everyone, and a law that would be hard to overturn thanks to the degree to which old people vote. And a law that is a joke because it is almost completely unenforced on most college campuses, and getting busted for it is as much a case of extremely bad luck as anything.

So yes, lets please forget about this law.

Yes, agreed. You can be called up on selective service to die for your country but get arrested for drinking. Stupid. I served in the military. This law was forced with the federal government to help with roads in each state to take away from state power.

It's dumb. If you drink and aren't acting like a *******, who cares? I guess we wait for the police report.
