Two ways I know of: A sting, which usually doesn't happen, but is often used to catch businesses selling to minors, or the most often:

You sell to a combined dumb *** and bedwetter who gets caught, and they scare them into telling them the real answer to where they got it from.

You can get nailed with providing for simply being at the same party as minors. Usually it happens if a party gets busted and there are a lot more underage people present than of age.

I personally know of one person and have seen two other people get caught outside of AJs in Campustown. Cops are sitting in non-marked cars in street clothes watching people come out of AJs and pass it off in the parking lot/street.

I am not upset he did it. We all did that in college and this isn't a DUI or Public Intox. I am upset he was stupid enough to get caught/ someone was enough of an ******* to tell the cops who gave them beer. This doesnt impact my opinion of him at all.
