CU @ ISU Predictions

It's anybody's guess at this point. Depends on if the effort/desire is there. If ISU is focused, then I could see something like 84-67. If ISU turns the ball over, fouls, and makes stupid decisons, then I could see ISU winning 73-68 and taking 2 hours and 15 minutes to finish in regulation. Either way Dendy will go 2 for 9 at the free throw line.

Does anybody remember the game against Colorado back in the Morgan era. Pretty sure it was the year ISU went to the tourney after starting 0-5 in conference. It was a game on a ridiculously cold Saturday night (similar to what it will be like this year), the team was playing like absolute crap (again, similar), and we lost in overtime by 2 points, something like 54-52. I just remember that Colorado was so bad, and they acted like they just won a National Championship.

We lose due to missed bunnies, ill-times prayer bombs from half court and 14+ turnovers.

...and CF goes nuclear (insert mushroom cloud).

I cannot wait.

Yes. That is my most hated game in Hilton. Andy Osborn comes off the bench at the end of regulation, with his white afro and his black knee socks. We saw that gangly dorky dude come off the bench and my roommate says to me, "That ******* is going to hit a 3 and tie the game. Just look at him." Sure enough, he hits a 3 and ties the game. We go on to lose in overtime. I think the final at the end of regulation was like 40-40.

Edit. He actually hit the 3 that won it in overtime. We came back from a 42-37 deficit to force overtime, but we missed 3 shots in the final 8 seconds that could have won the game in regulation. And apparently some of our fans booed and threw stuff onto the court?

I'd like to think we're finally going to put two good halves together and kick some Buffalo rump. I'll say ISU 84 CU 70, but not that close. And Cyclone Alley is NUTS!

ISU 81
CU 72

This is a must win. If we lose to CU at home then it will be tough to make up on the road. Go Clones

If the Clones play outstanding D, the Clones win. If not, beer and tears will flow freely tomorrow night.

I think we win on a Lucca Staiger 3.

I think you're right, but it will only be after a fast break off a Wes Johnson defensive rebound in which he will dish it down-court to Mike Taylor who will dish it out to Lucca who will sink the three with one second left. EPIC!

Oh thats just cleverly hilarious! Making a prediction based on things that obviously won't happen! how original!

Wow, overreact much? If you so desperately need my honest opinion rather than one in jest, I say we lose by 4. I agree with someone who earlier said that this game is eerily similar to the home Colorado loss during the Wayne Morgan era.

I have been lousy on my predictions so far. I have picked ISU to win every time. Maybe I will change their karma if I predict against the Clones.

Colorado 140, ISU 8

:jimlad:

I agree with other posters -- this is a "must win" game. I hope the players enter the game with a chip on their shoulder, kick some butt and blow CU out of the water.

Regardless of the ending score, I'm sad the students probably won't get to chant "Double Digits" 2 minutes into the second half this year.

Damn that was hilarious

65-63 ISU

Colorado could definitely frustrate us with thier discipline (since we have none), but our superior athleticism will do the same to them. Ugly game that I hope we pull out.

Game goes one of two ways...

- We score a lot and dominate by 15+
- Game is in the 50s/60s and we lose

This not a turning point of the season game, that has come and gone, but it's one where we really find out if this team has some heart (giving some hope for next year) or not.

CU 75 ISU 71
The last one out the door please hit the lights.

Spot on if you are right. If we lose this game, we don't have another shot at a W until Nebraska on 2/24, and that could be the last one of the season.
