Court Storms

#14 Maryland beats #5 Wisconsin and they storm the court. We need some guidelines for this type of activity, first rule is if both teams are ranked you don't rush the court. Kudos to the Maryland security crew though.

Agreed. And court storming used to be done on major upsets, buzzer beaters, or for major accomplishments.

maryland just rushed the court.....14th ranked team....didn't win a conference title, didn't hit a 40 footer as time expired....they beat a team 8 spots higher.

effing idiotic.

I don't see the big deal. Let them have fun. Besides Maryland was a sizable underdog going into this game.

Wisconsin will finish the season with 0 top 25 wins. Well, they beat Iowa at home when they were ranked #25 for that one week, but we all know that doesn't count. I guess I should revise my statement to they haven't beaten any current top 25 team.

Edit: Nevermind, I forgot they beat OU on a neutral court.

I don't know, it doesn't look like Foster reacts at all. People don't generally get punched twice in the face and not react in some way.

It looks like he punches him, but you're right he doesn't really react. I wonder if he was trying to hug him aggressively?

That's what it looked like to me; the fan was running past, looked like he kinda grabbed the player's face, patted him with the other hand & kept running. If it was a football player instead of a basketball player, it would have been a helmet grab/shake/slap.

Perfect.
Apparently Bruce was yelling "I've got you" repeatedly to Bill while this was ongoing.

Bruce was copping a feel on Self. You can tell by his facial expression.

....and the fans shouldn't have stormed the field a few years back after a spunky team knocked off Oklahoma State

Let the kids have fun! Hell they'll be *** deep into a 60 hour work week after they graduate! Enjoy the hell out of college while you can!

Maryland stormed it fine. K-State was just out of control

Maryland and Wisky are in their first years together in the B1G and are geographically waaaaaay separated.

KSU and KU share the same state and KSU is considered little brother, especially in MBB.

Emotional differential is 100% understandable.

Not that I want people hurt or don't agree it (KSU Storm) was incredibly poorly managed - just that I understand the emotionally differential.

Been keeping a pulse on the KU fans crying about the court storming at K-State. While it has been fun to see them and K-State fans bicker the below is absolute gold if you ask me in light of the "apology" K-State offered. KSU's athletic director mentioned the last time they beat KU (I assume as a little salt in the wound). This really is a great "apology" this KU fan proposes be offered in return.

Dear K-State:

The University of Kansas would like to apologize for not assisting with the crowd control efforts Monday night. In spite of the many times your students threw things on the court and at our players over the years, we were able to calm the masses by beating you on your home court in 2013, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1992, 1991, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1987, 1986, 1985, and 1984, including the last 5 games at Ahearn. We are glad that K-State fans no longer throw bananas at our African American players or go out on the court next to them in gorilla costumes during pregame stretches. We understand you can only take baby steps, and that blind-siding our players, chanting "**** KU" on national television, and jumping into our group of players with both middle fingers flying is a logical next step for you. However, we will do more in the future to get back into the traditional mode of beating you year after year in your building to avoid the higher potential for your administration and fans to **** it up as you do when you win on such rare occasion. Congratulations for the win and we wish you the best in your endeavor to earn a bid to the CBI.

Sincerely,

Big Brother

Has anyone heard any updates on Jamari Traylor? I hear the first 48 hours are the most critical after being chicken-winged.
