Cooke Suspended Today

I thinkit says a lot that there needs to be a new rule about being late to practice.

Seriously guys, let's stop the stupid speculation. Cook was late to a practice and the new rule is that means an automatic game suspension. A little shock to the system is a good thing and Prohm is doing the very little he can to try and reel in a bunch of previously coddled pre madonnas. He knows he can't do much as they're such an emotionally fragile group and already bicker and throw punches about anything.

I love our guys and hope they get it together and play to their potential, but if not, I can't wait for Prohm to have his guys he can coach his way.
THIS.

Sometimes I see Cooke on the court trying to act the role of Naz during breaks. I like that spirit. However, he might want to take a few lessons from Naz during his first year playing. He didn't have much of a role. His court leadership came as the result of on-court performance and years of showing that he was going to work harder than anyone to find his way to contribute. Remember Naz talking about working on 3s like crazy during the summer after McGee left because he knew we would need someone to fill that role. Cooke has a ton of talent and could do something similar, but it may happen during the off-season (next year, since he lost this year's to the hip surgery). I hope he is having some good talks with Naz and paying close attention to Naz's example over a period of years. If so, I see a very bright future for Hallice and look forward to celebrating it with him.

Cooke has been terrible on and off the court so far, only way to go is up now.
You haven't been watching the games if you think he's been terrible on the court. And let's be honest, none of us know enough about Cooke off the court to make a judgment about that.

1 game suspension for violation of team rules is usually a failed drug test. The game suspension is 2nd failed test and dismissal is 3rd failed test.

Plus Cooke does not need to be terrible for Ashton to see more time. Both can give us some PT and hopefully one, if not both, will have a hot hand.

Without Cooke and Morris we don't have a confident ball handler. Niang can handle but he gets going to fast against the pressure. We need Cooke's ball handling. Especially against WV. Matt Thomas and Ashton aren't the guards we want to dribble against that press.
